kusankusho
Is it just me or is the DCP server a little slow today?
Dave
Seems to be running all right for me, and I'm on a real nasty school computer right now.

JohnD
I've had a look at the server load and response times have been well within the 'nominal' range. We keep a constant watch on system performance and are alerted whenever things exceed our expectations. As you can see in the chart below, which graphs the CPU Utilization over the past 34 hours - the CPUs aren't even breathing hard. CPU Utilization % (34 hour period ending 12:00 CST, 24 January 2007) What you're observing is probably a network issue between our locations .... which could travel thru multiple carriers/networks. -john
Slow Adam
That's a pretty cool chart, looks like there is a mass exodus from DCP every night around 11pm. Why the spike at around 3:15am and again just before 4am? It happened two nights in a row. Nightly server maintenance?

Tristan
I believe that's when the backups are made.

As Tristan noted, we make multiple (local and remote) backups of the system and they occur during the middle of the night - right about those times. -john
Tank
The real answer is that's when Jeff Ream does all his posting when no one's noticing. :P
