  1. 1. Would it be a good idea to have a Drum Corps Convention in New Orleans to help the cause?

Think about. DCI , DCA, Alumni Corps for one week invade New Orleans and have one huge convention to help the city. Think about the good times

Wait, New Orleans is still there? Based on the media coverage, I thought it had sunk into the ocean or something.

(dry humor here)

I personally never been there. So maybe it would be an excuse to go. We'll call it Bugle Gras. LOL

Top 5 Reasons Not To Have DCI in NOLA:

1.) Miami ('81-'82 ?)

2.) Jackson, MS '93

3.) Orlando, FL '96-'98 (? - actually three reasons in itself)

4.) Dallas, TX '91 (great attendance, but for temperature's sake...)

5.) San Antonio, TX DCISW Regional - not in a dome, and that's all NOLA's got!

Rather have it in Indy every year, and I don't want that! Atlanta is larger by population, the Georgia Dome is newer and nicer, and there's absolutely NOTHING within a hundred miles of NOLA. Of course, Boo would like having discussions on Bourbon Street. Or was that Bourbon on any street??? :P Any good pizza places on Bourbon Street, Boo?

No one goes to Bourbon Street for pizza.

I'd go in a second. I love New Orleans. An added benefit is real housing for me since my girlfriend's family lives there.

I still think it's a crazy world if joking about a city sinking into an ocean somehow constitutes "dry" humour.

It's ironic, I suppose. Or unfortunate. Yes, ironic and unfortunate.
