elphaba01
John Ratzenberger: Know for his performances as "Cheers" Cliff Klaven, one of the USPS "Finest", John Ratzenberger one of this seasons contestants on "Dancing With the Stars" is an Alumni of the Connecticut Royal Lancers, of Bridgeport Connecticut. "Way Back" in the 1960s he was a rudimental bass drummer with the Black Rock based corps. He steeped into the "Dancers" spotlight when the original male lead in his pair withdrew. With only two weeks "Training Time" it appears he put his drum corps survival skills to good use to learn his routine and compete quite favorably. sday88
On his show "Made in America" on the Travel Channel when he visited the Zildjian cymbal company he picked up some sticks and rat-a-tat-tatted a little and it looked like he at least had some drumming background. apoch003
I'd rather have someone better suited (like, still a fan) representing us on a major show... but I'll take what I can get, I guess.

dbg
On his show "Made in America" on the Travel Channel when he visited the Zildjian cymbal company he picked up some sticks and rat-a-tat-tatted a little and it looked like he at least had some drumming background. He also visited the Remo drumhead factory on that show once. On a totally different note. He also had a speaking role in "Empire Strikes Back".
