ironlips Posted March 28, 2007 Share Posted March 28, 2007 Please consider joining the assembly of buglers to honor deceased service men and women on Armed Forces Day, May 19th at 10 AM at the National Cemetery in San Francisco's Presidio. We will be playing a cascading version of "Taps", followed by a massed performance of that call. We expect participation by as many as 100 "buglers" from Bugles Across America, SCV, BDs, Renegades, Mandarins, River City Regiment, Scouts, High School and College bands, professionals from the San Francisco Opera and Symphony, the jazz and Latin music communities, and others. We'll play in G (Bb trumpeters: use first 2 valves). If you wish to participate, please do the following: 1. Register at www.echotaps.org 2. Send me a PM with your email address Registered participants will receive an event T shirt from the VA. Please come and play 24 notes for the people who gave us drum corps.
