Rumor has it that OC is fielding a full-size Div III corps. If it's true, I have to say I think they'll win Div III.

But we all know how much everyone hates rumors.

I'm sorry, but based on first hand information from some volunteers, staff, and members--it doesn't sound like things are going that good over there for them. Yes, they will be good in Division III, but they will not be winning a title this year. Sorry folks, Oregon is going to have to rebuild before they win a title. Could they make finals, sure, that is a big possibility.

Also, they do not have a Visual Caption head at this point...you have to wonder how that part of the program is going...that could and probably will hurt the significantly going into their all-days.

I'm curious as to why a lot of people are putting Impulse so low in their predictions. Two years ago they were a good Div II corps and last year they won Div III...I don't see any reason that they would do worse than they did last year. Is there any basis for putting Revolution and other corps ahead of them at this point? Anyone have any camp repots or something? Personally I think Impulse has a good shot of winning Div III again.

I disagree with everyone who says size doesn't matter. Size is the tie breaker. A corps that can get 135 people to look clean and sound great will always beat a corps of 100 people that look clean and sound great. Scores are determined by quality of a show, of course, but a quality show with more people has a distinct advantage.

because i'm tired of all the size discussion on the PREDICTION thread, i'ma throw in my two cents:

Spartans will be on top, as usual

SCV and Surf and Sound will probably be up there (i hope we are two, but i can't really say that in a prediction)

then BDB ans so on down

in Div. 3: Memphis Sound

Impulse

Because not every corps that has a big this line or that line, is able to put out a clean and impressive show.

If a corps can't put out a quality show that is challenging and clean, how are they going to do it with 135 members?

And numbers don't matter.

The Mandarins successes have already been cited.
