  1. You have the date wrong for Boston, it should read 7/30/08.
  2. Crossmen are Right Behind Madison and will not be at the same show with them until Quarterfinals on 8/7/08. I hope that I can see this show at the Movie Theatre that night, since I cannot be at finals this year. I will be at both shows in Allentown this weekend and I am very excited the cheer on the Crossmen at one of their homeshows.
  3. Here are the scores for the Crossmen from: 7/23/08 82.65 7/26 am 82.70 7/26 pm 80.75 7/27 79.7 7/28 Rained out show (a little birdie said aprox 83.00) 7/30 84.45 I really think their score on Sunday 7/27 was not an accurate score, they probably had a bad show that night or else the judges thought this is what they deserved.
  4. Oh I don't like this weather forecast. I remember a few years ago it poured on us in Allentown and the show was delayed for a couple of hours. Most people just left the stadium and when the show began again it was a small crowd and a late night for all. I hope that does not happen again this year.
  5. I think George Hopkins requested that INT perform before his corp, because his corp was not ready to take the field for competition.
  6. Jeff, How were the Crossmen tonight??? Any Scores yet??? Fay
  7. Speaking of masks, I purchased a 2005 Cadets guard mask, from their 1st place show, from the Yea website last year along with some Crossmen and Cadets flags from 2004 and 2006 seasons. I also have many t-shirts and sweatshirts from the 70's and 80's. I probably have left some of them at my parents house (in their attic) when I moved out in 1987. I buy the t-shirts for my kids now, because I don't wear many t-shirts anymore.
  8. I think you have the wrong score for Pacific Crest, their score should be 72.60 for 12th place.....not 76.60 and ahead of Bluecoates.
  9. Here's hoping that Crossmen make finals (once again) this year. I know it is too early to predict this, but we are ready for them to turn the corner. "Go Crossmen!!!!!!"
  10. Great picture of your son on the website!!! I think Fred's e-mail address is fred.morrison@crossmen.org
  11. I would like to see a show soon, but probably will not see one until July 31st . My predictions are: 1st Cavaliers, 2nd Crossmen, 3rd Madison, 4th Spirit, 5th Pioneer.
  12. The Crossmen can call South Eastern Pa Home because for 31 years that's where they called home and most of the Alumni are from this general area. Now, the Crossmen are fortunate enough to have another hometown in San Antonio or even the state of Texas, How great is that???
  13. Oh, I cannot stay up till then, I need sleep. I will check back in the am. Good night All!!
  14. There is a show in Coatesville, Pa. this year and probably the first time in nearly 40 years. I think the last show was in 1968 or 1969. The high school (which was built in the 70's) has a new stadium and new astroturf. I can't wait until July 6th to have a show in my hometown. Another town that has not had a show in a couple of years is West Chester, Pa. This was one of our "Home Shows" for the Crossmen for many decades, and am glad it too is returning.
  15. Wow, wouldn't it be great if they could get Blast to do the Semi-Finals show instead of an Alumni Corp. But most of them have been in DCI at some point I think.
  16. 1. 2007 Carolina Crown 2. 2007 Bluecoats 3. 2007 Glassmen 4. 2006 Cavaliers 5. 2005 Cadets 6. 2005 Phantom Regiment since I could not pick Crossmen, Here are my choices.
  17. Sue, Thanks for posting the info from the winter guard magazine, I found a picture of me from 1973, I was proably only 12 years old. I marched in the Sahler Sedan Cadets from Coatesville, Pa and then the 1st Staters from Wilmington Delaware in 1974. Do you have any pictures of the 1st Staters??? I only have one, that I think was taken after our dress rehersal in Delaware. I have been meaning to go to the VFW post 287 to see if there are any pictures filed away somewhere that they would be willing to copy for me. These pictures really do need to be preserved. Thanks again Crossmen82
  18. For your information the Crossmen were sold because YEA did not want them anymore. I don't think the Crossmen had any problems getting kids to march. The kids who chose to march the all age corps did so because of several different reasons. Cost and time commitment of joining a DCI corp are two reasons that I can think of. You are making an assumtion that the kids in the Crossmen were less able and less experienced than the kids in the Cadets, and assuming that they would rather march in an All Age Corps than to march in the Crossmen. This is probably how most drum corp fans feel about the Crossmen but it is not true. The Crossmen where never the feeder corp to the Cadets as some of you may think. Just another corp that YEA owned.
  19. Give em(The Crossmen) time, I am sure they will be moving up the DCI ladder this year!!!! Just glad that they are still here for me to enjoy and share with my Family and their many Fans. Best wishes to the Crossmen and Staff for the New Year!!!
  20. Oh, that is probably why I have never heard of them. I aged out in 1982 (25 years ago) so I never competed against them nor saw them at any of the shows I have attended in the last couple of years. And Yes I have heard of the "Madison Scouts" as a matter of fact I first saw them at the 1974 DCI Finals in Ithica, NY. I also competed against them from 1975-1982. Once again, I only attend DCI (Division I - World Class) shows, but thanks for asking.
