Mark Aviles marched for the LI Kingsmen, Crossmen and ended with BD in '82. He started by painting Drum Corp characters on walls and t shirts around Long Island. He did a great Mad Magazine, Spy vs Spy with Bridgemen uniforms. I might have drawing that in an old box. Now he is in the medical industry living in Southern Jersey.

I discovered it on a flyer outside of an Ice cream shop. The flyer was looking for members of the Smithtown (NY) Freelancers. BTW at the first few practices there was a guy named Wayne Downey who had moved out to California. If I remember it correctly some of instructors included Sasso brothers and Frank Dorrittie

I remember going to my first DCI level show in 1973. I think it was in Edison, NJ. Some of the best were there. The Muchachos were ones that started my love of drum corps. Pure entertainment!
