  2. ...tryouts really didn't exist back when drum corps were mostly locally based... DCI was still a true youth activity back in those early days. 'nough said
  3. ..when you carry one for a full season you can spell it anyway you want. TYMP! B)... besides that's how Ludwig spelled their "Marching Tympani" Drum Corps History 101
  4. ....my back still hurts from the '70 season on the 23" Tymp... ahhh.. fond memories or jr. corps.

  12. That green slime is actually ...lung tissue...it's that warm air affect. kiddin' I use: soap, hot water, horn snake, cue tips and Wright's Polish.
  13. I don't really see "different marching styles". It looks more like a lack of uniformity of step and toe height. In other words, the style looks the same, they just didn't execute it together. ..good point..I concur .. still luv those Madison Scouts! Scouts = Excitement... what a novel concept $$.
  14. Frank an Pooh...decibel meter..."Loud IS Good"!! :o Too bad Lothar is a Mellow player...what a 3some that would be. cya there Aldo (loud but controlled mellow) B)
  15. Nice review Bill....gotta luv you yoopers! Plaidly, Aldo (Lower Mich Troll '68-'72 Marauders) '70 VFW State Champs..ummm
  16. Your review sound's like a weak spin off from a "Mad TV" skit ....but at least you're callin' like you see and hear it. From what I'm reading in it sounds like the Glassmen are keeping their infamous title of being the "most talented boring corps" of the year award..again. Shame, guess I'll judge for myself this friday at the Jennison show. Hope your wrong........ Aldo
  17. Yeah..They'll be a gas!! "Real Drum Corps" Aldo
  18. ...and to think I missed all that JAZZ 'cause I had to work..I must of missed the boat. Carferry that is. Nice reviews all. Plaidly, Aldo :(
