  1. Oops! my bad..I didn't no the rules! but....DCA seemed to have forgotten the rules when we, the 1983 OBF took 13th place just below (my apologies to the members of Matadors) a much lesser corps. I'm not bitter all these years later... ok, I'm over it.
  2. Hey Mike, Looks like you are taking care of business and the concerns of the fans and the members of the corps! Al Cunningham
  3. Jim, Thanks for the review. I ordered my set of '68 Nats yesterday. IMO this show was one of the greatest drum corps shootouts of all time and the old Fleetwood recordings did a poor job of capturing the event. Wouldn't it be interesting having photos of where Ed Burke had his mics set up vs. Ken Kolbold's. Aldo
  4. Hi John, I don't want to break into the thread..but too many good folks too soon from the Kilts and other corps. I'm doing Honor Guard when I can but dearly miss marching full time with my talented friends in Plaid. Again, Good Luck with The Sun Devils we wish you and your fellow corps mates the best! Stay warm =) Aldo
  5. Good Luck to the Sun Devils in "sunny fla." and our Kiltie Brother John H.
  6. Good Luck in 2009 Empire! I always enjoyed Jerry's style of writing and teaching when he was working with the Kilties. WWBD Aldo
  7. Wonderful Review JC! Tams off to all that weather the storm and attended the Kamp. Go Kilts!
  8. Ahh... my favorite wordsmith at work again. Thanks for the review JC. Way to Go Kilts!!!! WWBD Aldo
  9. Thanks for your review Bob! I also think the "Renaissance" show is a well written, exciting and powerful book for the 2008 Kilts. I'm looking forward to being part of the Kiltie" Honor Guard" at DCA. WWBD
  10. Great review JC!! It was fun hang'n out with the Mad Plaid last weekend..looking forward to being with the Kilts in Rachesta. -A- Sqad hopefully. The "Renaissance" show is very cool and powerful..luv it! I can't wait to see the show when it's maxed out at DCA. Have to mention that I was very impressed with the performers, show concept and Scott's insight into how he wants the corps to progress as the season moves forward. All good stuff going on for the Mad Plaid. Have Fun Kilts! WWBD
  11. JC..Thanks for my Kiltie fix..cyas at the Klassic.
  12. "Ditto" Hairbear, but they are empty bottles..Kemo sucked them down years ago. Gotta luv those "bootleggers" cya at the Kiltie Klassic. What a great line-up of Junior corps and of course the Mad Plaid! Looking forward to a weekend with the Kilts.
  13. A True Gentleman R.I.P. Dennis My condolences go out to Jeanne and Family. WWBD Aldo
  14. Hairbear.. Or as the Detroit crew "Motor City Madmen" fondly called them the " Bayonne Wackers" And then there was the '83 prelims where the <ouch> less than medeocre "Madadors" rode the tide of the DCA "good old boy club" into the night show driving the final nail into the coffin of the OBF. BTW OBF was clearly the better corps in ALL captions (view the vids for proof).. too bad a few judges were in the bag for the old DCA finalist . Sure glad to see that DCA has a much more legit judging community these days than what existed during my OBF days. Kudos to the DCA mgmt. for addressing and correcting the judging bias problems.
  15. WOW...Great News from Kiltie Land!!!! Can't wait to hear some audio ....
  16. Sounds like the "Renaissance" is smoothly moving forward in Racine. I'm really looking forward to viewing the 2008 Mad Plaid this summer! Go Kilts! WWBD Aldo

  18. "The percussion parts have just been emailed. All charts are now in the hands of all Kilties. Even the guard has .mp3s of the entire show. YAY!" Xlent and exciting news JC!! Sounds like the "Renaissance" is well underway in Racine. Kudos out to Scott S. / Staff... Have a fun and productive Kiltie Kamp weekend. WWBD

Unfortunatley, I'm unable to march but really look forward to watching the "Renaissance" flourish under the guidance of Scott S. and staff. Sounds exciting!! Good to see you Back in Plaid again! WWBD
