did i say this was the corps to beat? no i didn't...so don't assume things. you should go see the show live and then make your opinions, rather than saying it sucks and "oh this is what the hype is about" that video was horrible quailty, and im not saying that their show is perfect live but its better than a crappy recording

seriously...go see it live and wheres all these other shows that are supposed so great...lets see some videos of them...

have any of these 3 corps posted any media recently so we can stop bashing on peoples opinions... But i mean comeon, obviously academy is good. So how can all of you say "oh they haven't been on a full tour, so i don't think they'll make it" whatever people are saying. How do you know that they aren't gonna push through it, and not let it effect them. And just because they have high scores now, does that mean that they are just getting lucky because they are on the west coast? Does that mean they aren't really trying then, and they aren't giving it their all? I think some of you might be under-estimating The Academy with some things that you say. I've heard many things about them and I think the east might be surprised at how good they actually are when they come face to face with them.

why? its just like how the cadets are a big talk in the main forum. lol

you're acting as though academy has never jumped that many points in 24 hours.... but it seems to me that they won't get lazy on tour, because they are pushing themselves for a goal. Who cares that they haven't gone all the way before. They've got to be excited that they are going all the way, so they are probably going to take the opportunity to prove something to everyone.

this bugs me and im not even in the corps, so i can imagine what it'd do to the members....learn how to spell ACADEMY please.....

i want to buy some right now but i have no money. And i don't think any of the west coast corps are gonna have any till finals huh? i'd like to get BDB, SCVC, and Academy...before finals but i don't think that'll happen

i think bd might be doing wireless for some of their mics. not completely positive though

and also with them not releasing the APD, isn't it kind of like the year that the BD horn had a major mess up. And they didn't put that on the dvd, they put the semi-finals performance. Someone correct me if im wrong please

not all professional audio equipment is made the same, even if they were to use the same equipment as everybody else. Theres many factors that could cause the equipment to fail. Im sure one of the main problems that the corps have is overheating. Maybe because they don't clean out the amp as often as needed. If the amp gets dirt and such inside, its not going to be able to cool as needed, therefor it will shut the amp down until it is cool enough to perform what you are asking it to do. But answering your question, i don't think any corps use the same audio equipment. Atleast from what i've seen. Maybe the same type of board. Mackies are real common, but for Amps and Speakers they probalby use different stuff.

why not hype on something good coming out of AZ for once, and the corps that she used to march?

but they have tried moving up to div I and have been declined, so how can you say its totally up to academy?
