  1. REALLY? SHooT I was gonna watch the Friday videos later and now I gotta re-schedule.... hmmm
  2. Why can't we watch the open class on the fan network? Will they post anything from their competitions? Also, did anyone check out the Cadets 2008 POV run-through that they posted? It is sweeet! I wish more corps posted POV videos. I have seen some of these in the past, where a horn member holds a camera instead of a brass instrument. Cavaliers did this in 2002 on their tour video. The cadets put up a video, and it takes place from the stage. Just a cool perspective. The movement right before the ending is pretty sweet. ( POV= Point of view)
  3. They are on different sheets. When I marched div 2, the scale is different.
  4. Do you know how many years Hopkins has been associated with the cadets? I will go out on a limb here and say it is longer than you have known about DCI. Just saying...
  5. Where did you get that information, From the culprit Dan? See how clever he is. He pulled a fast one buddy.
  6. Today I listened to this podcast from DCI. It is the one about how Dan maliciously left his glasses behind on the field before the Cadets started. This was when he did a contest for a zildjian T-shirt on the field with two fan contestants at San Antonio. Or, should I call them his partners in crime. I can only wonder how much he payed them.... He claims that he accidentally dropped his glasses on the field, but I don't believe it. Dan Potter is a DCI anti Cadets double agent. Some of you remember the Cadets that fell on the field that evening. I did the math, and it turns out they fell in the EXACT place that Mr. Dan dropped his glasses. There is no other possible explanation as to why or how these members fell. Especially the Cadets, they are invincible. The only possible conclusion that we can come to is that Dan doesn't like the Cadets and he purposely tried to cause trouble. It was a perfect plan and he executed it with great wickedness. What " better" spot to do than the area that they have their hardest drill? Dan actually took the time to plan a perfect place to drop his glasses. OH , and here is the part that REALLY get's me going. Dan is now selling the glasses back to a Cadets fan. He is not only screwing the corps over, but he is taking money from them as well! In a time with rising fuel costs, Dan wants to steal fuel money from the Cadets. This also can explain why the Drum major from the Cadets had such a brief and distasteful interview with Dan at the Atlanta Regional. It all makes sense people, Trust me. I say we all sign a petition to get Dan removed from his DCI position, before he removes corps that he doesn't like from the activity! ACT QUICK! /sarcasm off
  7. I am all about properly stretching and feeding members of any corps. But, to say that we should lower the difficulty level of the drill because people might get hurt is a bit " absurd." Look at any football team, tell me a season where someone at least doesn't break there arm? Or get carted off in an EMS truck. This is a risk, to march on a field with instruments , flags, rifles, at a high pace all summer. It is a voluntary activity that we all took. You can leave at any time. Why would you SUE an organization for your voluntary action? Sounds really silly guys...
  8. Anyone heard of the new human based search engine , " ChaCha"? they launched a new text sms division recently, I am working for them as a guide. You can text 242242 for free and get a question answered. The reason I am posting this on this board is because it is awesome for scores. If you are at work, or somewhere and you want to check up on the scores you can ask them to look for you , tell them to go to DCI.org ( they should be able to find it regardless). Give them a show date or name. If the answer doesn't fit in one message just send ChaCha a message back saying " more". Just thought I'd let you guys know ! If you wanna work for them also email me or something, you can set your own hours. Work 10 questions or 2,000. you get paid by the question. It is great for stay at home moms, college kids , etc . - Tim
  9. As was mentioned by George Hopkins in a video he released he read through DCP... Interesting enough I think it changes things somewhat!
  10. I'm not sure what your problem is. Is it because you want people to respect blue devils more because they have more of a history of being a top contender than other corps? Shouldn't the show this year be the center of the discussion as to whether it deserves it's placement? anyways. Talk to any cadets fan , and see how they feel.
  11. If I am ever at a show with enough people I really want to try " No, 5 more minutes please!" I don't think it is fair to compare "They are always ready" to " VANGUARD!" . Seriously.... It would be fun if people came up with creative stuff like, the 5 more minutes thing. -g0at
  12. I am too. I can't sleep, I am afraid a parachute will hit me. Oh and a joke while I am at it : Which facility has the quietest complaint department? A parachute packing facility.
  13. That is really a shame! Hope you guys are doing well this season -"TIm" Teal Mello 05
  14. I would go to the SA show over Dallas -- But that is just me.
  15. I don't think that Drum corps has anything to do with religion. If there is one thing in this world that has caused great people to do horrible things, it has been their belief in a certain diety, or the religion they were brought up into. If you want to argue that DC helps you find " yourself". Figure out life, etc etc. Than sure. But it has nothing to do with religion. eh.
  16. I might be staying overnight in San Antonio so I might just see a rehearsal down there the next day. But if you go to elgin you should get some sausage or BBQ while you are at it.
  17. Did anyone notice that the Bluecoats moved their entire brassline on the opposite side of the field for the brass feature right before the chorale singing? This was a huge move ( drill wise) and I don't think I have read anyone talking about it. Anyways Just found it interesting I noticed this in the recent FN live broadcast. Also, Anyone know of ANY corps rehearsing in the austin area as the corps move south towards texas for San Antonio? -- Thanks
  18. Easy guys lol Cavies havn't had a show in 4 days! That makes a huge difference.
  19. How is the Blast show compared to some of the DVDs I have seen in the past? ( years ago) Do you have to get a ticket for general admission at fiesta texas? How does that process work?
  20. County line is really good up here in austin I assume it is good as well in SA. The bread is home made, a long with the sauces etc.
  21. Oh, and Bill Miller is like the Mcdonalds of BBQ. I am not sure what is around SA as far as BBQ someone mentioned Rudys. If you go to Rudys tell them you are new :)
  22. I have always parked on the river walk area and walked to the stadium after eating. I walked back after the show. It isn't too bad!
