  1. It was truly a pleasure to perform and an awesome experiance to take part in. (although my hopes for a free t-shirt were dashed :P)
  2. This guy never played a valved instrument before membership day in November :)
  3. I totally agree with Brian... Being a fat guy, I felt like I was walking in quick sand, especially going backwards. One of our Tubas went down (With her butt on her dot as she claimed), but other then almost falling in the same set she went down in, it wasn't the worst I've ever marched on. The field was beautiful though, the best grass field i've ever marched on. The field held up very nicely (no mud) but there was about a 1/4 inch of water underneath the grass that sprayed up when you marched on it. Oh yea, and when we did the Buccaneers Tuba Clap, I think our horns sank 6 inches into the ground :)
  4. Despite the fact that I am just a rookie this year, I think that I can add some insight to this conversation. Having been a Drum Corps fan since about Middle School (I'm 20 now) I got the chance to hear a lot of corps over the years, including my share of DCA shows. Always in my heart I knew I wanted to be a Buccaneer, and this year I finally grabbed the dream. Despite the fact that I love Bucs, and would NEVER march anywhere else competitively, I still love to hear other corps and their styles. For example My favorite DCA show ever, is 1987 Sunrisers I'm a huge screaming trumpet fan, and a huge fan of Latin music, so Cabs' shows have always made me smile (especially this years alumni... wow) All these things show that despite the fact that I am a Buccaneer for life, I can still enjoy other corps and give them a huge round of applause despite the fact that I would never march with them.
  5. All participants get a free one of those right b**bs :P
  6. Thanks Jeff. I swear the annoucer sounded just like the guy on the 1974 Cabs show I heard once, except he called them the Hawthorne "CabbleYeros"
  7. Just for the record, Kelly is 19 and will be 20 in October :)
  8. Going back to the home of the hottest weather to date for us... :)
  9. Go Cru! My buddy Joey O can't stop talking about how great you guys are... I'm looking forward to seeing you guys later on this year! :)
  10. I'll be there marching on my BIRTHDAY!!!!... I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing.
  11. Thanks for the Review Jeff, you're always one of the people I look forward to reading here on DCP :)
  12. Hey, if Mark Murphy or Kristyn Morgan (Or any Mansfield People) still march there tell them that Andrew (Buff) Buffenmyer says hello, and looks forward to seeing them at some shows! :)
