  1. It still doesn't say it's going to be less shows if anything more shows and also help the (AA) corps on travel cost and give fans more options to see the top corps and if I read correctly the DCI or the other corps would get a portion of the split from the Friday and Sunday show. So the other corps would benefit from more rehearsal time, less travel budget and also a portion of money from a show they don't even have to perform in.
  2. The funny part is that all it appears in the proposal is to give you more shows by the top tier groups while still sustaining the other shows. From what I have read it never says anything about reducing the existing shows at all. The way I read it is we will get more shows like Murfessboro at a higher level. I don't see anything bad in that.
  3. And now we know why the Cavies have so many pages of drill. There goes that defense of we have more sets.
  4. With that being said how did Cavies win the title with that brass book? As for Crown, the percussion was off this year but I don't think it was enough to drop them a spot when the other captions were much better then BK and the design of the show was better. Also with the percussion score Crown's pit should have brought the percussion score up they were far better then alot of lines. I just feel that the percussion scores started bleeding into other captions that really wasn't being effected. Also what happend with Crown's guard score on finals night. I don't think they should be getting beat by BK. They should have been top 6. Anyway great season Crown you were very entertaining and I really enjoyed the show. Keep coming as you will get your due turn if you keep up the progress.
  5. Really have you seen the show and how much they move. I could use "simultaneous responsibility" as a reason not to put cavies on top because they don't play anything hard especially on the move. Besides moving has nothing to do with brass scores it is about the way they play and yes they are in the same league or better then bluecoats, cadets not phantom though.
  6. I was thinking the same thing when they made the big jump, but I saw them in Atlanta and they were a visual wreck and then I saw them in the theater last night and they should be where they are. They could really take Cadets. Don't think it's anything other then Bluecoats have peaked and SCV is trucking through the field. Just like Phantom, how I would love to see them win.
  7. I had a very long discussion about that one night with Steve matter of fact it was one of his first on the topic. Everyone needs to experince that conversation. Also check out the great merchandise they have. The CD is great and some really cool shirts this year.

  9. I agree it is the same thing thay have done for several years except for 04 and 05. I really don't see how they are getting good music effect scores because it's not effective by itself with out the visual so they should be getting low numbers but they are not. It just sounds so repetitive with a percussion groove going on with out much melodic lines. Not to mention they don't play hard licks while moving and the drill is starting to look to much the same. Its a formula that they have used for several years now. Just my personal taste I am getting tired of them and I absolutly loved them in 00, 02, and 04 but I want to see the talented people they have push the envelope more in the creative process. I personally think BD is much better then Cavies this year and are pushing the difficulty level up a notch although they make it look so easy.
  10. Gotta love all you that instantly blame it on the amps. Shows how much you really care about the safty and well being of the ones out there marching. Really, how many of you would like to see them get hurt then have the possibility of holes in 2 weeks for finals. Get over it the amps have no impact on the desicion to cancel a show. Wake up and smell the coffee they are here to stay and are a benifit to the activity.
  11. The souvie guy at Indy was Carolina Crown. they have them for sale and I must admit they worked very well in the dome. They tended to cut out some of the reverb and allowed you to hear more balance between hornline and percussion.
  12. Anyone have any good tickets for Atlanta they would like to get rid of? Would like middle section if possible sections 221 or 222. Didn't find out I could go until now.
  13. I prefer the show up to finals and see what the best seat you can get standing outside the stadium. It's worked for me for the past several years. Haven't sat outside the 40 yet.
