Lewisburg Review
lebsoccer02 replied to CorpsBuff's topic in DCA All-Age Corps and Alumni Corps Show & Event Reviews
nice review. this excites me for this weekends show in chambersburg. I'm having the drum corps itch and I need to see some action. Thanks for the review, felt like I was there, except my face wasn't being blown off. :( -
Anyone have a list of where corps are going to be? I know Bluecoats are at Conrad Weiser and Crown at Raub MS or something? I live in the area and want to see a few corps practice possibly friday and saturday.... any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think Phantom, BD, and Cavies all have excellent shows. SCV and Bluecoats were amazing in Bensalem. I loved them. Wasn't too fond of the Cadets shows, but those kids perform it to their best. That's all they can really do. This is an amazing year for drum corps. SCV back from their "off-year". A new corps in the mix for a top dog label (bluecoats). Excellent year in DCI. Can't wait till after rehearsal tomorrow to see Semis results. Good luck to all the corps. Goo regiment and bloooo. night all. thank you chris. -

wow...407 users (at time of post) are reading this topic. wow. anyway. top 3 is gonna be a dog fight, I can't wait to get done at my show saturday night, and come check who won. top 3, then 4-6 battling. even 7-11 are battling. 12 I think is the only spot that won't go up. Can't wait to see Cavies score. -

89.675 for crown -
What are the rehearsal sites for corps performing at the bensalem show? thanks in advance.

any scores yet????

i just think top 8 has begun to separate themselves from the rest of them. with SCV even with a down-year is still a good corps, and carolina crown is on the rise and just can't seem to break into the top 6...madison is always solid...blue coats continue to get better and the top 4...well they're the top 4...nuff said. lol
-
ok...i stopped reading this on like page 45..i started from the begining. time for my predictions... top 4 will be a battle all year with phantom, BD, Cadets, and Cavies duking it out. but I believe the corps that ends of 4th could end up in a battle with bluecoats. 5 bluecoats....they are moving in the right direction, by far. 6-8....madison, scv, crown...in no particular order..i believe that group is subject to change each and every year.... top 8 is uncontested imo, i believe the top 8 is above 9-12. their in there own world.... 9-12 crossmen, spirit, colts, boston, bk, glassmen...they'll be duking it out for the last 4 finals spots....it should be a battle also, could this be like 96 in the fact that phantom was 4th in quarters, 3rd in semis then won the title? could we see that this year from anyone of the top 4? who knows.

thats a neat interesting thing with a stadium....that the grass can be rolled in and out...interesting. I'll have my rookie dci season in a groundbreaking type of year...first championship in cali...new venue for a regional. should be some great stuff! can't wait for 06 season to start...it'll only make it that much more closer to 07 -
okay..time to try this.... 1. cavaliers (amazing turnover rate, 4 championships in the last 6 years...3 of them outright.) 2. phantom regiment 3. cadets 4. Bluecoats 5. Blue Devils 6. Carolina Crown 7. Santa Clara 8. Madison 9. Crossmen 10. Glassmen 11. Boston 12. Blue Knights, spirit, or colts

2007 DCI in Pasadena

as a future dci member....I would enjoy making the trip out to the west coast. I feel it's a great thing for drum corps to expand out there, for more "late season action" and finals of course. It will definately draw fans, as will every dci final. No matter where it is. Of course the tour schedules and such will have to be changed. DCI east, in allentown wouldn't be a good thing for the week before finals like it normally is. It would be difficult to travel halfway across the country in less than a week. Maybe it would lead Denver or an area out there to have a dci major event. Even places like seattle, san diego. A major event there. I think finals out on the west coast is a great, great thing for the activity. -
Do shows really have to have a title
lebsoccer02 replied to Blackstar's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I don't really care about a theme too much, I more care about the music being played, and how everything is strung together on the field. I enjoy the product on the field, I don't care about a theme. Yes a theme could catch your attention, like cavies in 2004 did for me, I saw 007, and I thought hmm, this should be pretty good. But when I looked through the program I looked at what music each corp was playing, not at what the show was titled. titles, like other people have said, are there for "branding" and "marketing"....your not going to put your music titles on a shirt, but you'll put the "title" or "theme" of the show. It's just easier that way. I hate when I see a show announcement and there's no musical titles with it. It drives me wild. So basically IMO themes, and titles are for "marketing" and "branding" and for the "over inflated ego of the staff and show designers." -

October 8th....ugh....only 5 more saturdays till my birthday and then the week after I'll be up starting something I wish I would've finished my first time up! DCI can wait, and if i dont want to march dci they'll live without me....hahaha. Bush just has the right atmosphere...Bush pride baby. Make 06 (25th anniversary) the best year this corps ever had! Can't wait till NOVEMBER! Well in about 3-4 weeks I'll see some people at my high schools band show -
