  1. This really sucks! I not only knew Rick in the drum corps arena but on a very personal level as well. It was at Rick's house currently and in the past that I would find myself when dealing with my own life and death issues with a family member. Weather it be a shoulder to cry on, or someone to listen to my long winded #####ing, a cup of coffee, or just to get a good and much needed laugh, it was Rick that I could turn to and count on. His contrabutions to this wounderful activity are many. Cru has lost a huge part of their family, but drum corps has lost more in his passing and I lost someone who I proudly called FRIEND! I spent time with Cheryl, Sara, and Josh this after noon and well, they are still in a little bit of shock as you might imagine. I will always cherish our time together. As for his family we all need to say a couple extra prayers for them. Rest in peace my friend Bill
  2. Well Don I wish we (the Oney Clan and yes Jake REALLY was looking forward to marching) could join you on this years ride (you even picked a show I would love) but as life would have it we can not. Heather came home today after the removal of her 2nd tumor. We are headed down a long dark road. We all wish you guys the best of luck (although not needed) going into this year. Remember if you need anything from down here don't hesitate to ask. Tell Randy to have a beer for me & Beth. As always take care my friend. Hands up baby hands up............. give me your heart. Bill P.S. I may need that favor now more than ever (rainbows mean alot more now)
  3. Well Don I don't think luck is needed, because in my opinion you have enough HEART SOUL & PRIDE for all of Canada. We'll see ya Saturday and have a pop. Oh Ya Heather will be looking for a hot dog. Bill
  4. Well my friend, looks like we will be missing Heather and Beth as I just got back from the hospital and the earliest Heather will be out is late Friday. She is running a fever of 38.9c and with her white blood cell count being zero that is not good. All she had to complain about (with tubes coming out of her) was not going to be able to go to the show on Sat. She was looking forward to seeing you guys. Her and Beth will not be in Rochester as Heather will be Getting chemo over the weekend. This is the first time in 28 years that I have done corps WITHOUT Beth. But at least Jake is marching. And tell Randy my birthday is Sept. 4th!!!! Talk to you on Sat. Night Bill
  5. Don, Heather just informed me that we better have hot dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bologna
  6. Hey Don, don't forget the pre show and post show refreshments in the parking lot at the RV, providing Heathers blood counts are OK. It's been a TOUGH week, and her and Beth would love to see you guys. Hope all is well and we'll see ya Saturday and tell Randy NO ROLLING ON THE GROUND. BILL
  7. Bob check your pm and let me know. Good luck BILL
  8. Hey Steve, Oh no not another animal crew!!!!!!! Bill
  9. Hey Donny What happened to the 3 747's to get the corps around? Bill
  10. You mean where you've been SPORATICALLY since November ! Dan...which part don't you understand ? First of all...the Blousemen are not a real drumcorps, and secondly...you don't do anyone any good when you're NOT here ! It might just do you a world of good to actually FINISH a season SOMEWHERE instead of trying to dig up excuses to quit... You missed a MAJOR weekend (among others), made no effort whatsoever to come on Sunday, and you expect to be treated like a 100% MEMBER ? You've got to EARN that one....my friend !
  11. OKAY His name IS RICHARD! What he is trying to say is that with an organization starting to climb a very large ladder we need to have everyone giving 100%. Our corps had what people call a death camp in unbareable heat. We really did go from 9am to 9pm on saturday (all on the drill field with breaks every 20 min. & alot of push-ups by one loud phat guy) and 9am to 3pm on sunday. Our corps has come a long way since last year. We will not except excuses. We really are starting to jell. Richard for you people who may not know him is a little exciteable (especially when things are going good). He's not affraid to tell you like it is. To see our corps give all they have and then come back and ask for more is something pretty cool to expirence. So to Richard stop being a RICHARD!!! lol BOLOGNA
  12. Well my friend, You are right we did work hard. This corps just keeps working hard and not complaining (even with cold showers). First run not bad. Second even better. The drum solo should really turn some heads. And what about that BOX? Oh ya what advanced age? What do we do now boys??????? Bologna
  13. Hey Joe, We had no place to practice in Albion so we were not going to waste at least 4 hours in travel time. So thats what I meant when I said NO PLACE TO PRACTICE NO PARADE!!!!!!!!!!!! What do we do now boys??? Bologna
  14. DON, With all my years in corps it was your organization that gave me and my family the opportunity to re-enter the drum corps community and march with my son and trusting my wife to be on staff (not to mention your favorite hot dog helper) as well as allowing my 2 nieces to march even though one at the time was only 11. For someone to open his house to a bunch of crazy New Yorkers sight unseen is someone special. With you at the helm and Scott, Mike, Randy, and Doug O. backing you up, I for one can't wait for your return. Your corps helped me and my family through the worst week we ever had. In this time of rotten news we all wish you and your family all the best and a speedy return. And yes our paths will cross again many times. (No vulchers here my friend) As you always say cheers eh!!!!!!! BILL as you always say cheers eh
