  1. Very sad news. Seeing one corps leave the scene is bad, but when two leave! Wow, it leaves me speechless. I wish the Brigs organization the best and hope that they get back on the field in 2011. Seeing the Brigs when I was 7 years old(I'm 60 now) made such a positive impact on me. I knew at that moment I was going to be in Drum Corps for the rest of my life. So hang in there and we'll see you on the 50! Mark Gerber Retired Director-White Sabers
  2. Hey Mike, I know I've been talking to you on Facebook, but I think I have that NH membership list, however many of those don't live with their parents like then. lol... It would be a challenge, but lets keep talking about it. We should start a new thread. *****> Good Luck to the White Sabers! I'll drop by every once in a while to see what's up. Mark Gerber Director - White Sabers - 1994 to 2008
  3. Hey Guys, Good Luck at DCA weekend! I miss being with you all especially this time of year. Keep that level of excitement going as in the past! Mike - I can relate. -- lol..... Mark White Sabers
  4. I wish you guys the best of luck with your Crusader Classic golf tournament. Great pics! LOL Mark- White Sabers
  5. One choice would be the White Sabers. We have 2-3 people coming up from there so you could car pool if you want. Check it out on www.whitesabers.org We have 2 soprano spots so yes, we'd like to have you come up. We have a great family atmosphere and the book is great. Robert W. Smith music is great stuff. Mark = Director White Sabers drumcpmark@frontiernet.net
  6. The White Sabers have an opening at the Drum Major position. We are now accepting resumes for this position. Please send these resumes to me at email: drumcpmark@frontiernet.net. The White Sabers are a DCA Class A corps that is entering their 4th year of competition and are celebrating their 80th anniversary this year. Our web site is: www.whitesabers.org We are located 1 hour directly south of Rochester, NY off I-390. Thank you, Mark Gerber - Director White Sabers www.whitesabers.org
  7. It's our 80th anniversary. That's a very long time. Help us celebrate by supporting our Golf Tournament! Thanks!! Mark-Director
  8. We need some spots filled. Low brass, couple spots in the pit and anyone who comes down that can make a positive difference. Don't be shy. We got through the first 13 pages of the drill this past weekend with all sections playing and the guard using flags etc. It was impressive. www.whitesabers.org Thanks, Mark - Director
  9. We have all cylinders firing, but we still need to fill some spots. A snare, yes, a tenor, 1-2 in the pit, 1 mello, 1-2 contra and 2-3 baritones. We have about the same size horn line right now that we had last year. So we're looking decent right now with some surprises in the wings. We believe that the music, staff, food, schedule and great family type atmosphere is something we can brag about. We have a camp this coming weekend. Check us out. www.whitesabers.org We wish everyone out there good luck this season! Thanks, Mark - Director White Sabers
  10. Just to keep everyone up to date. We need horn players. A sop, couple of mellos, contra and a 3-4 baritones. Guard spots are also open. Join us! We have the makings of a very good year! see our web site at: www.whitesabers.org ! Mark
  11. Dansville, NY had a field show around 1956-7 with the Niagara Falls Militaires in it. One of the few things I remember about that show(I was 7 at the time) was seeing 10+ of the Millitaires faint as they finished their show. Many fainted at the end of their shows in those days when it got real hot, but this stuck in my mind due to the heavy looking uniforms they were wearing. I remember thinking, 'gosh, they all went down in a ripple, that's unbelievable'. The crowd loved their show. Donny, I remember that guy from Seneca Falls. lol Many DM's in that day were 'bigger' than life if you know what I mean. Mark White Sabers
  12. The next camp is Saturday, February 9th at 1pm to 9pm and Sunday, Feb. 10th at 9am to 3pm at the Livingston County Hampton Corners Complex (LCHCC) just off of I-390's Exit #7. Saturday is for Brass Only. Sunday is for all sections. The Staff is very excited because of the 2008 music and the membership's excitement. Go to the corps web site - www.whitesabers.org to get directions, schedule and other info. Visit us! You may find yourself inline by the end of the day because of what you see and hear! Mark - Director
  13. Well, Dansville(White Sabers) is about 1 hour south of Rochester. You could get on I-86E and take it to I-390N for about 30 minutes and there we are. We have some people from Ohio. We have a bunch of people from the Erie area so I would think we would also be an option. Rides could be arranged. Keep us in mind! We're a pretty darn good Class A corps. Take a look at our web site - www.whitesabers.org. thanks and good luck to you where ever you go! Mark - Director White Sabers
