  1. More good answers, Michael. Thanks for repsresentin' well.
  2. Great response, Mike! And by the way, folks, he meant that the alumni corps was in 2004, not '94. ;)
  3. Ooooo! You made macaroni pictures? Now I really can't wait to see/hear yall!
  4. Next camp, his toes are gonna get a LOT of camera time!
  5. Well the weather has been really nice lately... quite warm. Good time to go to "the lake"!
  6. Come play in the pit, Mike! Done! That's right! See yall June 14th at the Texas Drum Corps Preview! We're going to dedicate one whole video just on you, James. If MCL comes to Texas to do either the Dallas or Houston DCA shows, then yeah you'll see us. Otherwise you'll just have to wait till Rochacha.
  7. Yeah, I like that music, too. Have any sr. corps done it already?
  8. You can imagine how thrilled we were to get those uniforms. Got an incredible deal on them from a high school band that had only used them for four years. Cesario design made by Fred J. Miller. A full set of jackets, bibbers, shakos, plumes and gauntlets and with our corps colors Navy Blue and white. The yellow accent on the gauntlets works out, too, because there will be yellow in guard equipment and costume for our show.
  9. Click here to view our first ever video! It's just a little clip from our March 1st rehearsal with emphasis on guard. More video to come soon with more from the hornline and percussion! We were at McCallum High School in Austin and learned our first 6 pages of drill that day. We're having our first full weekend corps camp on March 15th and 16th. Percussion and Brass on Saturday, full corps on Sunday. We'll learn about 8 more pages of drill! Oh, and if you haven't seen it already, here's a little sample of our corps proper uniform.
  10. Had to make one correction to my post. The March 15th rehearsal is brass and percussion. March 16th all sections.
  11. Thanks for the warning! Luckily the uniforms and accessories were all kept in some semblance of order and well marked boxes. We'll dedicate one afternoon to uniform fitting. We'll have more photos up of the uni soon with horns!
  12. Ditto what they said. The more the merrier regardless of what section. Though we need percussion more than anything, we're happy to take more in the guard or hornline.
  13. Yup, it's Navy Blue. We'll have some outdoor pics in the sunlight eventually so it'll look a lot more blue than black.
  14. LOL! I thought you were jazzed about playing trumpet this year! I'm really pleased with the turnout. We did have people missing and we know they will be back. So to update the "needed members" list from a few posts back, now we need just 2 trumpets to bring the hornline up to 17. I think we're gonna be fine on guard members because new ones keep contacting us about every other day. Percussion is the kicker. We'll be happy to scrape up about 6 total players and we can work with that.
  15. March 1st, 2008 First six pages of drill are now on the field. (Our first ever!) More new guard members and hornline members joined up today. The corps uniform was also shown off to the corps. (See below.) (Cesario design made by Fred J. Miller Inc.) Gettin' bigger and better! We've got a great show with a very strong visual program and color gaurd. If you're in Central Texas, come on and join us! More need for percussion than anything but everyone is welcome. Next rehearsals are March 15th (percussion and brass only) and March 16th (all sections).
  16. Thanks for posting this, Seth! We need more drummers, yall. The guard is going to be fine and we just need a couple more in hornline. We JUST purchased our corps proper uniforms and they look slick! The show theme continues to evolve and I can't express how excited I am about it. Drum corps fans are in for some familiar, toe tapping tunes (done with some new twists and turns) as well as some drum corps favorites and a "hook" in the show that is sure to delight. I'll be posting pictures of the uniform after this weekend!
  17. Thanks! From a brass perspective, I couldn't be more happy with the hornline... and I have to say we probably have the best two-man contra line in DCA, Chris 'n Jimmy! Those guys can play!
