IMHO, I would say no we were not that bad but we were neither that good. It was fun, I met my ex husband, made lifelong friends, etc.That was then and this is now. Bash me, but for myself, being able to perform doing what I did best:that was why I marched.

Tickets, smickets. Profanity is part of our vocabulary whether the "powers that be" want to believe it,or not. I have been "suspended" a few times for personal attacks(that is what you ADMINS call them),etc. I try not to use profanity but the only way some posters can get the message is to use it in terms they can understand. IMHO, so what? That f word is in the songs we hear: i.e. "Show Biz Kids" by Steely Dan, "Who Are You" by the Who, listen to Jim Morrison and the Doors. Not to mention hip hop or urban comtemporary music. It is all around us. Lisa-Lisa maybe used bad judgement but to ban her, c'mon. If you ban her for this, I will probably be banned also. it is pretty close to censorship.

Also to add to your comments about the Racine Scouts, I received some info from my ex. You wrote him saying the Scouts were poorly run. DO YOU KNOW ANYONE THAT IS INVOLVED WITH THE SCOUTS? It is not "all good" Example: The Racine Kilties Sr Corps(formed in 1993) and the Racine Scouts(formed in 1927). Both are from the same city. I have it on good faith that the Kilties are going all out to recruit in the SE Wisconsin area all HS and middle school students. Where does that leave the Racine Scouts? Granted, they are trying but give them at least a fighting chance to recruit. The Kilties all ready have a 13 year old to be marching with them. He should at least be marching with the Scouts or wait until he is mature enough. I have my fire resitant suit on. Ann

MartyBucs: I feel the same that you do. My last year was in 1974. Maybe when drumcorps will go back to traditional shows is when the Chicago Cubs win the World Series. In other words, I would not place any bets.
