Back to the topic at hand.
I really enjoyed everyone elses show. Cabs were screaming, and their drumline was pretty clean. The Bb horns really make them have such a warm ensemble sound even though they're playing some screaming latin jazz. That 5th bass drum was insane!!! I swear he was going 180degrees on his hits.
Empire sounded good behind the leads on the piano. Leads weren't so bad themselves mind you, heheh, personally I just think that they are showcased maybe a little too much. Just my opinion, but they still won, so shows how much I know. Corps looked and sounded great regardless.
Brigs were a lot smaller but still packed a punch. It was nice to meet a couple of them at the rehearsal space also. We can't wait to meet up with them during semis and finals. We're sharing the same hotel from what I understand.
I think it is a very good year for DCA, and I can't wait to see some of the other corps.
Thanks for having us out east. I'm still bus lagged from driving out there though. 28hrs on a bus out of 48hrs in a weekend is a little too much for me.
Take care, and hope you all come check out the Madison Alumni corps either Wed night, or at semis. It's going to be something people won't soon forget. 21 snares, and I still can't hear back to them for time hahaha.
