  1. Drumfest was the biggest one in the Boston area. The place was always packed. People couldn't wait until Memorial day for the first show so this April show was always a big draw.
  2. A couple of drum corps legends. George B. Jerry Seawright
  3. I posted this picture before but I love this pic. They seem so young.
  4. OK I'll help get us there. Here is a shot of the 84 Lancers snare line. These guys could play and were great kids to teach as well.
  5. The Defenders Alumni Corps will start their 4th season on January 16, 2011 at the corps rehearsal facility in Abington, MA. If your in the area stop in and check out rehearsal. New members are welcome in all sections. Hope to see you there.
  6. The corp member that owns this needs to sell it. If your in the market for a Euph this horn is fantastic. Member will sell for $200 shipping included. PM if interested. Dale
  7. Tom I would say Garfield's 1971 was in the same category. Vietnam was still going on and their war & peace show was certainly controversial if not political.
  8. Hell, all I knew is they were clear and I missed the scottish snares.
  9. If anyone has a 3 valve sop for sale give me a PM. Dale
  10. Hi folks, I am trying to find Eric Rosen. He did some work with the Defenders in the 80s and I was told he is in NJ some where. Anyone know how to reach Eric drop me a PM please. Thanks Dale
  11. After some more thought Anahiem Kingsmen 1972 CYO National was pretty special. They went on after the rain delay and turned that east coast crowd insane.
  12. If there is a Garfield show that is famous I would say it is 1984 West Side Story.
  13. 2-7 used them in 1973 as well. I'll get a picture up later tonight.
  14. I have 3 now and still need 2 more. If anyone knows of any for sale PLEASE let me know. Thanks
  15. All six of them marched in the 75 championship year. Love when loyalty pays of for people.
  16. Not only a cool play to play, but everyone gets a chance to see lots of drum corps friends.
  17. Jim we'll miss you. Family first. long range weather forcast is projecting 50 degree high on Saturday of Plymouth with sun and no percipitation. Of course it's a town on the water so it could change but so far it looks to be a decent day.
  18. Other for me as well. Offensive Lions was always my Canadian favorite.
  19. As sad as it was, the ovation for Spirit in Memphis the day after Jim Ott had died was something I will never forget. Every corps in the show packed the stands and front side lines. Spirit set up in the set leading into their closer. They stood still and played their show but played and marched the closer. Not a dry eye in the place and people just screaming for them throughout Let It Be Me. I remember Crossmen members helping Spirit members who had fainted. It was hot and it was emotional. I don't know how they did it but it was THE loudest and most memorable moment for me in drum corps.
  20. Horn is in awesome shape if anyone is looking for a Euph.
  21. Jim I think BFDTV is going to record the show in HD.
  22. Does anyone have any of the old tymp cranks? We have a refurbished set of tymps but need the cranks to tune them. Let me know if you have any for sale or know anyone who might.
  23. I have a Dynasty 2 valve chrome Euphonium for sale. Excellent shape with a case. $225 plus $35 shipping in the US.
  24. I have a 3 valve chrome dynasty G soprano for sale. Some chrome wear around the 3rd valve but the horn is in very good shape. Has a decent case as well. $225 plus $25 shipping in the US. SOLD!
