After months of negotiations, DCA is disappointed to announce that the 2015 audio and visual products will not be produced. Licensing and releases to allow us to create our audio and visual products have not been approved by several copyright holders and publishers. We apologize for this turn of events, the result of which has been truly out of our control. We will be processing refunds for 2015 audio/video products that were ordered and paid for within the next 2 weeks. Please be patient with us as we work through this challenging turn of events. Long time president of DCA, Mr. Gil Silva will be retiring from his post at the December 2015 meeting of DCA directors. Please join us in wishing him a healthy and happy retirement. He have given us many great years and wonderful memories. Gil still expects to act as Chief Judge/timing and penalties at several shows in the 2016 season. Welcome….. Drum Corps Associates newest member the Erie Thunderbirds Drum and Bugle Corps from Erie, Pa. The evaluation has been going on for the past 2 months and with the combined efforts of Lois Tierno reviewing all the paperwork and Dick Fischette doing the on site evaluation, we are confident that they are ready to compete as a DCA corps! And the contract goes to. . . Rochester NY!!!! Again, the team from Visit Rochester comes up with the best plan to host DCA championship weekend. There were several other cities that made a bid and sparked interest but none of them were as attractive as Rochester. According to Allen Buell, Vice President, “The city of Rochester has such a rich Drum Corps history and continually welcomes our Corps & fans year after year. I can't wait to see my old team and the day is always full of getting reacquainted with old friends. My advice....if you happen to be in the area, stop by, it's a great drum corps day!

I can't wait to see my old team this weekend!!!! It should be a fabulous show with lots of alumni corps and spectacular performances from Fusion Core and the Reading Buccaneers!!!! I'm hoping to get to meet some of Kidsgrove Scouts in King of Prussia tonight. Just ask Doreen Sandor if she's seen me. Looking forward to it. Lois

Here's something positive about the show and a corps behavior that just blew me away. As the Bucs were doing their encore performance, MBI members were up in the stands as a group watching. The members of the Bucs really appreciated seeing them there. I love the competitive rivalry between the corps and the staff of MBI is awesome. I wish we had more time to get to know each other. Thank you for being such a classy organization. Lois

Empire has attended in the past but I don't remember which year(s). I know that when talking to Allen Buell, it's a long ride for them. I don't remember if Hurcs ever attended.

My prediction, The winners will be the fans!!!!! All the corps have been preparing for an awesome first performance, and it sounds like everyone is ready to go. I think this will be the best Cabs at the Beach in history for everyone, fans and corps.

It didn't happen!!!! Just kidding....

Thank you to everyone who attended Friends and Family Day at Buc field and for your generous donations!!!!! We could not do what we do without your support. A good time was had by all and both the alumni and competing corps put on very good performances. We've are looking forward to "Cabs at the Beach" in Wildwood, NJ next Saturday June 16.
