  1. I voted for... BAA Pioneer Caballeros Buccaneers Shenandoah Sound Spartans Music City Legend Madison Scouts Blue Stars Brigadiers Bushwackers Capital Sound Carolina Gold Empire Statesmen Govenaires Hurricanes Kilties Carolina Crown Long Island Sunrisers Bluecoats Really wish I could have voted for everyone. I ended up voting mostly for corps with smaller financial backing but did vote for my favorite large corps too. Carolina Crown...1,793...WOW...Think you're leading this... Best of luck to all the corps, as I know everyone is deserving of the funds!!! God Bless, chris Bucs Alumni contra
  2. All the possibilities...I can't wait to see the line up for this show! Should be a GREAT year for the Caballeros!!!!!!
  3. honestly curious...would you describe Cadets unis as 'busy'???
  4. This is just so freakin' exciting...can't wait to hear the arrangements and see the final product on the field!!! Please give us a few audio teasers from time to time. Should be a GREAT year for DCA this coming season
  5. Good show, would have, IMO, much better w/o the dog and pony show (e.g. piano, vocals [amplified] and electronics
  6. THANK YOU so much for sharing this!!!! it is great to see the marching arts receive attention from the film industry. can't wait to see this film
  7. This is true, but I do have to say, as a brass player, the Dynasty valve action isn't nearly as smooth as the Yamaha line. Best example I can think of Dynasty valve action is more comparable to a student (eg trumpet)model horn as the Yamaha valve action is more comparable to a professional (eg a good Bach Strad) model horn.
  8. May you rest in peace Prof. Mills So sad to hear this, seems like everyone is leaving this world so fast
  9. WOW, this is so AWESOME!!!! If I'm lucky enough, I'll be at both shows This is certainly a great announcement for all DCA corps!!!
  10. wow, I started tearing up a bit just looking at those pics (btw..the pics are great...thanks!!!)
  11. DCI could learn alot from the incredible folks over in DCA
  12. I think I might be able to explain Taters post for ya...the changes that would ensue in DCI with the legalization would push a great number of participants and spectators to DCA corps and sanctioned events. how great would it be to have full corps, more corps (DCA) starting up, and full grandstands for shows???? FREAKING AWESOME!!!!
  13. every show I saw at DCI East 2009 (I only attended the Friday show) please note: I attend the Scranton show the night after I was at DCI East. All i can say is.... DCA doesn't need amps for the audience to hear the pit. The pit ensembles, imo, added to the overal package. I found it to be a very enjoyable evening of drum corps.
