  1. Definitely agree with that. Especially when the ensemble is out of tune, or someone is singing off key, etc. Drives me insane.
  2. It also does not mean that they are moving. There were only a few camps, maybe only one, in Lacrosse last year, and the audition camp was in Minneapolis.
  3. That is something that you should work out with the corps ahead of time. Go audition, and after you have played for them and if they offer you a spot (or tell you you have great talent or something or other), then tell them your concerns. Most corps have an interview with you where they discuss any conflicts you may have with camps, spring training, and tour.
  4. My corps has a free day during Everydays where they will take you to Wal Mart, to do laundry, and sometimes to go to a movie or do something fun (each bus went to a different place after the laundry portion, and wherever you wanted to go you just got on that bus). I was wondering if this is a norm in most corps? If you know that this is the norm in your corps, I would wait to get stuff that only applies for tour. But I don't know if it only applies to my corps.
  5. I am sure that baby wipes would work. There is an actual brand called wet wipes though. They come in on-the-go packages, or you can get a big tub of them.
  6. I've had both colors shoes and I always used wet wipes. Worked fine for me. Quick, easy, and no mess.
  7. I have heard of band directors who do that, and I think it's stupid. You are going to get more out of corps than marching band in the long run, so if your band director makes you choose, I'd say go with corps. But it's stupid of him to make you choose. Corps makes you stronger and the things you learn you will be able to bring back to the marching band. So screw what your band director says, if you want to march, then march.
  8. My corps did not allow air mattresses. we were allowed to bring a camping mat. I chose not to because by the time we rolled in, I was too tired to really care.
