  1. A block of fans on the 50yd line percieved the ending as her finally finding her happiness in another woman. And it sure looked like they were kissing and not just a "friendly" kiss. On a side note, KUDOS to the Troopers hornline. They "brought" it and it just kept getting stronger. Please have the girl from Cadets send some of her "friends" to the Troopers guard tho. They only had nine on the field.
  2. Please send me a pm and I will give you the true reason and the process of this particular compression exercise. Thank you, David Tippett
  3. 79 Blue Stars, 85 Star,94 Glassmen - biased- since I taught all three of these horn lines. Peace, DT
  4. Glassmen used FH's through 96 - biggest reason for not using them any more was because they could only play so loud before distorting - which compared to the rest of the horn line from a volume standpoint was only a forte to the rest of the ensembles FF - pitch was always a problem with the horns - most of the time on the flat side.
  5. 88 _ Kansas City- a soloist put his shako down on th astro-turf and went to pick it up after playing and the rim of the shako melted to the turf as he only came up the plume and middle portion. 95 -DeKalb -116 degrees in the afternoon pre-lims and 135 degrees on the UNI turf. Worst heat on tour was always after rain and you could see the humidity rise from the ground - and melt the members will.

  7. Gregory Peckorey- Fraqnk Zappa-Ala Velvet Knights
  8. Sorry for the mispelling - always an honor to watch him work. I remember when he had the corps sitting on the the floor - stressing the sensation of understaning where the tailbone Really was -and lengthing your line from there. Such posture they achieved. Peace DT
  9. The Jazz run was used first by the 1976 Seattle Imperials. Their Dance guru, Stanley Kanob , developed the move because the smaller corps needed to cover larger space - they also used umbrellas to fill the larger intervals. Hope this helps. Peace
  10. So, we know that the tongue is a muscle. Is it the end result of what you hear- I think not. For example if I stepped on your big toe and told you not to think about it - what would you do? So, perhaps we could think of how we want to pronounce the sentence - hear it as you would the words in a sentence- whether it be Ta, Da, Du, you want to keep you imagination as far forward as possible - and allow the pronounciation to float on the air. Remember , you don't order up air, you don't order up tongue- You Order up Song - stop making causes out of the END RESULT. Believe in WhAT YOU WANT TO HEAR rather than reacting to what might happen. Peace, DT
  11. A and D ointment is the best healer - It's lanolin based as opposed to most products which are petrolium based and we all know that petrolium needs moisture to survive - thus cancelling out the reason you put it on your lips in the first place. A and D doesn't smell the best but it's healing properties are fast and lasting. Peace and Good Will to All
  12. Especially SCV"S rep. number - what's the matter Joe? Not enough cymbals ?
