Thought this show would start to plateau a bit, but it looks as though I was a bit off on that one. The overall design is really coming together. Would like to see a bit more from the drill, but that seems to be where DCI is trending lately. Wasn't overly wowed in the theater at the beginning of the season, but this is definitely growing on me.

I think with the cancer gone and this fresh start taking hold, the Cadets will start to attract the kind of staff needed to get the corps back to innovating.

Thanks, John. No harm meant in my initial posting of the screenshot. Just having a bit of fun with what was obviously a little glitch. The DrumScorps app is by far the best it's been and my primary means of keeping track of how the season unfolds. Keep up the great work!

Holy crap Cadets. For starters. I was skeptical of the uniform design drawing earlier this year. I'll shut up, because it looks fantastic on the field. Secondly. It is clear that you guys have "reset" and that is a great thing. It is still obviously "June Cadets", but this will clean up nicely. I'm sure the design team will be tweaking and adding as the summer progresses, but this hands down the best foundation for a vehicle since 2015 (maybe 2011). Finally, thank you and kick some A this summer!

From what I saw last night in the theater, I think there's plenty of room for them to play.

My like-cycle for Crown shows never starts off that great in June, but they almost always bring me around in the end. I think this is much better start for them than last season and yeah... the percussion hype seems to be legit. I don't think it gets them a Sanford, but honestly, I found myself watching and listening to them more than the brass or guard (and they are both doing some work). That's never been the case with Crown. Ballad seems out of place to me, but I'm sure that will get massaged as the season progresses. I want about 12 more minutes of that closer. Way too short. Hope to get to see this one live. No false advertising in this show title.

Apologies if this was already addressed, but I seem to remember some drawings/photos of the uni and shako a few months ago (before The Article...). Anyone know if they're keeping that design? This was back when the show was still The Conversation. Curious if it's still in keeping with the Unity Project.

Personally, I don't care how they place this year, I just want a chance to see them live so I can cheer them on.

I think "the four vocalists who busted their ### and auditioned to get in this corps before this whole thing broke should totally be shown the door because Hop paved the way for singing in drum corps and they need to send a message" is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've read on this forum so far this year. Thanks for coming guys, but the former director who was fired for grossly inappropriate behavior liked singing, so.... I guess if you want to stay, you could always run met for rehearsals!

Anyone know what the process was to get on the board of YEA?

Did some LinkedIn browsing.... The only board member that appears to have any connection to the marching arts is Roger Floreska. He was a band director for about 5 years, ending in 2001. The majority of the rest seem to be in positions that could not be further from youth, education, and/or arts. ... so weird that they botched this.

They weren’t asked for comment, but the board knew this story was going to break since January. You can’t prepare a response or two in that amount of time??

They knew this was coming for three months. They were hedging their bets. Not the best course of action for allegations like these.
