Does anyone think they have a shot at making finals? I think they have a shot (given, an outside shot, but still possible).... Thoughts?

Wow, Capital Regiment scores 76.7 in Texas! They are less than a point away from Blue Stars (San Antonio) and the Crossmen (San Antonio). WOOHOO!!!!!! :) I think they will continue their surge and turn many heads in Madison. Historically (okay, the past two years) CR has made large gains towards the end of the season. I can't freaking wait to see them in Allentown. I love that CR is doing so well. I think many people forget/might not know that CR is a very, very, very young Corps. They started as a WGI drumline in 1996, fielded a D III Corps in 1999, and have only been a D I Corps since 2003! With so many corps folding, I love to see that starting a new Corps is possible. Rick Bays deserves a great deal of respect. He is my vote for Director of the year!! Who else is excited?

Can someone provide any insight on why CR dropped almost 3 points? I'm kinda shocked.

Best field? 1. Crew Stadium, Columbus. The field was like playing on a golf course 2. University of Toledo Stadium, great place! 3. James Logan Field in Northern California. The field is OK, but far and and away the most "educated" drum corps audience.

I tend not to make predictions, but I believe I will be watching CR on finals night. This is a very young corps and this is the year that many of us have been waiting for. GO CAP!

Wow, this is such a great question. I LOVE that the competition for the 11th & 12th spot is going to be tight... Here are my two picks, in no order: Crossmen - The show is very crowd pleasing (The received the loudest reaction at the Westminister show) and I think they will be able to clean it up in just enought time. Capital Regiment - They have grown solid in all three areas. Their guard has improved SIGNIFICANTLY! Being a brand new corps, I think it would be a LOUD statement for them to make finals. I will rooting hard for them That said, the others are very good. I think that it is VERY exciting that there will be a reall cat-fight for finals. I think in the group could pull it out, depending on their performance. This is exciting!!!

Can someone please post a picture of CR on the field in their new uniforms? I can't hande waiting any longer!!! Thanks!!!
