  1. That is really pretty neat, If i had the time I would want to get involved
  2. what does this mean as users keep posting it
  3. From the Cadets’ Web site: In an interesting break from the norm of fall meetings with drum corps program coordinators and staff members to hash out a plan for a corps’ 2007 show concept and design, the Cadets have started a contest open to the general public to find the best idea for the corps’ 2007 program. The Cadets brought an Alice in Wonderland inspired program to the field in 2006. George Hopkins, the Cadets’ director, said: “On a plane trip one evening, I was reading a book on leadership, and there were a few chapters on the ‘open source’ movement, wherein, the theory is, that the more people working on a problem, the greater the possibility for grand success. So, I was thinking, why not here?” The winner will receive $500 and the opportunity to see his/her idea come to fruition on the football field.
  4. For me, I heard the crowd a lot my first show, especially after hits, it got distracting. but as the season went on, i heard them less and less, as said above i heard them at the beginning, in between tunes and at the end. At the beginning, depending on the show, you can hear individual names, or just lots of crowd noise.
  5. not within the last 5 years, but a simon and garfunkel show might be interesting
  6. according to their website, that information should be coming out in October

  8. There were a great many administorial problems this summer. Some were avoidable and others were bad luck. here is a short list. 1) There were a few times that our food truck had no driver and we ended up eating McDonalds 2) There was that one time in pittsburg KS, that we had health problems (heat related) due to inadequite food and length of rehearsal in extreme heat 3) Traveling was almost awful, two stories a. it took us 12 hrs. to make a trip to Madison, WI from Michigan City, IN b. instead of the 4 hrs of rehearsal time we were supposed to get one time, traveling problems caused no rehearsal time and we didn't get an adequite warm up before the Boston show because the horns showed up pretty late. However we still fielded the show and it was pretty good that day. It was just a bad year and the year off will be good for the corps to recoup and get better
