If you haven't noticed, how couldn't you, college sports teams have rankings. That is what that little number is by their name. Based on the teams performance, it may change from week to week. But before the season even starts, the teams already have a rating. It is based of of previous seasons and current prospects or leaving members from the team. Is this type of rating scale possible with drum corps? The obvious would point out that every year the corps are different and that last years corps may not be an accurate depiction of this years corps. To that, I say that college sports teams are never the same year after year, and yet they still have accurate ratings. Cavilers (1) Phantom (2) etc.

This site has a "humor" column about flags from countries that lack masculinity. Unfortunately, one of the flags, Seychelles, features a color guard member next to it. I might be getting all upset for no reason, but this is a very bad dig at this guy. i feel bad for him. View it here

After seeing a number of corps come back and a few leave, i am a little confused about who is actually competing in 2007. Can someone post a list?

Yeah...so what?! Have you seen how thick the Colts cymbals are? they have to be at least 2x as thick! being a visual tech for the local high school, i watch the cymbals sometimes. the 14 year old high school kids march with 20 inch stadiums. i even double checked last night!

some corps use cymbals that are light as a feather. scv and magic come to mind. on the heavy end you have colts and SW. bring back the wooden handles!

this really isnt that fair to the west coast fans or corps.

is there a website that shows all the corps uniforms throughout the years?

has academy ever lost a show? i am not talking just this season, but since they have existed. i just cant remember them ever losing.

i think you need to leave them alone. they will be fine once they have found their groove and will be a good corps this year. after seeing the show in wash. i can easily say that once it is a little cleaner, they should have no problems rising in the rankings. :)

1) Red herring 2) sounds like excuses are already being made for Denver.... why dont you let them compete and hope they do a good job instead of assuming they wont get better and start blaming denver.

wow, it seems like a lot of excuses are coming from the cascades this year. maybe this is just an off year or they just arent as good as their alumni think they are.
