  1. The products they made were the worst quality of anything I have ever used.
  2. The current cymbal staff at Crossmen is notoriously difficult to work with. Instead of integrating into the corps and supporting it they decided to be cocky and act superior to the other sections. I am not surprised by this decision.
  3. I completely agree that Pioneer should be suspended. However, I do wonder how dci would react to corps with similar issues that are more important to their bottom line. If a top 6 group had member complaints like this I do not think dci would take the same action. It's really easy to suspend a corps that is bottom of the pack, not as easy when it's cadets, Cavaliers, phantom, etc. They would get probation.
  4. So what are some of the corps looking at as far as drum line numbers? Snare, bass, quads, cymbals...18-23ish people?
  5. After looking at some of the other seedings, I think some of the other corps might be out of order as well. Maybe my math is just fuzzy. Anyone wanna do a breakdown of everyone? This is a very interesting topic.
  6. I'm going to have to agree with this. All season it was kind of hit and miss with their sounds. They were running a lot, but I don't think that helped them. Changing cymbals 3 times was probably a bad move as well, seeing as they never really utilized each pair differently. On the other hand, I highly respect the some of the other cymbal lines out there.
  7. I think they are going to be a few surprises at Denver that will rattle quarterfinals. Watchout for a few corps that have been under the radar.
  8. Looking back on some of the scores from 2004, it seems like PC was going up and up until Indy when it looks like they dropped into the 17th place range. From then on out, the score kept going down and down until it settled 6 points lower than what it was the week before. I think this was also the year that DCI made Esperanza and PC perform before the national anthem, I'm not confident though.
  9. The Blue Stars just beat The Academy by .6 points. After seeing them early in the season in SoCal and on the San Antonio web cast, I have not noticed the huge improvement I was expecting. They blew me away earlier this year and I put them in a guaranteed finals spot, possibly as high as 8th place. Now, after seeing the SA show I noticed that really nothing has changed except for some things being a little cleaner and some maneuvering sequences that involved body and horn work. Their show was clean then and it is clean now, but that's the problem. I'm afraid that have no where to go because their show wont really improve much from the level they are performing it at. I think it is going to be a bloodbath for those bottom spots at finals, as I see it, any one of the following corps has a fighting chance: Colts The Academy Glassmen Pacific Crest Blue Stars Spirit from JSU Crossmen Here's to what is shaping up as one of the best years ever.
  10. Am I the only one that feels they were over hyped?
  11. California is big. Think of it as 4 east coast states where everyone in the south is awesome and everyone in the north is hella cool. Also, the Terminator is our governor. Come with me if you want to live...
  12. Does anyone remember the mess at 2004 championships? The performance order went Esperanza, PC, National Anthem, start of the show. Both Esperanza and PC got totally screwed by DCI that year.
