Our musical product will center around this unique musical journey from dark to light. We will explore the emotional, intellectual, and aesthetic relationships among the vibrant works we perform. 16. Actually for our organization, who is A class, it gives us a goal to work harder towards. The excitement of this being a regional is really helping to build drive of our corps. "A" corps should strive to work harder because we are being judged against our "peers" and not the Open class corps. I think that this is a very smart move for DCA because it is encouraging us to be better and rewarding us for the hard work. It is definitely working for us!!!!! Thanks DCA! Dwayne
  17. Currently the corps has openings for 2 Mellophone players and 2 guard. Anyone who may be interested please contact: ExecDirGold@hotmail.com Serious inquiries only please.
  18. No Gold minicorps for 08 but looking into it for 09....one project at a time! Looking forward to competing in VA. Feels like it's been MANY years since we've competed...not just one!
  19. Who the hell is Carolina Gold? LOL ;) Dwayne
  20. We will miss you Patsy!!!!! What a great woman! Dwayne Lancers '86
  21. I have a BAD recording of that show. I know that a few of the parents at Long Island Kingsmen have the whole album set for that show. I've been frantically trying to locate them! If anyone knows how to get one, please let me know. Dwayne LI Kingsmen
  22. This is great news! All your hard work is paying off. Looking forward to seeing you on the field this summer! Dwayne Carolina Gold
  23. Thanks everyone. To answer Chrisp's questions...yes, we have announced our show. We are doing the American Holidays. This show is a slight departure from our past few years but the corps is branching out and trying new things. We have some great designers aboard such as Dennis Argul and Bobby Jones and believe that this show will be a great vehicle in which to prove that Gold is back. As far as our competitions, we are currently looking at contests to replace the Millersville show that was unfortunately cancelled. We will announce the replacement contest when we have sealed the deal but it is safe to say that we have been looking at ALL regions to compete in August. Again, thanks for the support. We are having a great Memorial Day weekend camp in Rocky Mount! And planning a nice family cookout as well. Have a safe and fun weekend.....and we are looking forward to our first competition in Virginia! Dwayne Exec Dir of Carolina Gold
  24. Would be glad to see you at camp. It's been a fun last few camps. We've had alum stopping by to check on things. It's good to know that people still care about the corps. Our old Drum Major, Alby Rose and his wife even stopped by to give us a donation! The best part is knowing the family is still around! We are looking forward to seeing all the corps this year. It's only been a year but sure feels like it has been longer!
  25. Carolina Gold would like to announce that they have successfully completed the DCA evaluation. We would like to thank DCA and Joe Geswaldo for their time and support during our reorganization.
