  1. NO...Bloo has an awesome show! I would love to see them beat BD, or anyone for that matter that has a more entertaining show. However, before the Cavaliers put in their new ending, they had beaten Bloo. The new ending has taxed them in the music captions and visual captions. They were very winded and seemed un convicted in that new ending last night. I do believe that once it has cleaned up, they will pass Bloo and close the gap with BD. The Cavaliers have more room to grow. It will indeed be very close in the top three by August 14th. Hell, the way the judges are scoreing BD, they may win by 3 points, but feel we will see the spread within a point or less come finals. Cavaliers will only see Bloo one more time before Indy. That show will be August 5th in Rome, NY. That is five days away and the Cavaliers only have one show between now and Thursday in Sevierville, TN. So, Thursday will be the tell tale show.
  2. I agree. Not sure that is the final ending....musically, that is. The corps sounded very winded at the end of that closer. Music was very loose and just did not come across/not impactful.....at least on Fan Network. And, to the person that said that just because a new ending was put in shouldn't reflect the lapse in score (loosely paraphrased). Bull.....that drill for the Cavaliers new ending is sick, hard and was pretty dirty. Just cleaning that new ending will put them above Bloo, let alone any improvment in the other captions. Again, sub-captions were all over the place last night. Guard got nailed last night and I thought they were amazing. Judging is kind of whacked right now. Two weeks.......time will tell.
  3. Cavaliers - 91.5 Cadets - 90.7 Bluecoats - 90.4 Crown - 90.2 Its anybody's guess..... However, Cavaliers are hot right now and believe that they will continue this trend. Based off of recent scores, this is just how I see it. When I last saw the Cavaliers in Michigan City, I left thinking to myself that this great show may not make it to the top three....maybe not even top five, with the current competition from Bloo, CC and Cadets. Too much cleaning to do at that time and was worried for them. After seeing it on FN in Houston, I was floored. Could not believe how amazing the show got in three weeks. Still some music problems and percussion problems, but they have the right staff and am sure that these areas will strengthen over the next three weeks heading into finals. Cavaliers may have only received a small bump the other night in Houston, but see them making a larger stride in score tonight. The only two that I could be wrong about is CC and Bloo. Such a close score last night.
  4. Again, not as nuts as they went for Cavaliers or Cadets.
  5. Not as much as they like Cavaliers or Cadets......just sayin'. They are not getting a full standing O' in the middle of their show.
  6. So BD won by 1.95. So what....three weeks left to the season. It is still anyone's guess. Not hating on BD, but they will not win. It will either be Cavaliers, Cadets or Bluecoats. Don't think Crown will have enough steam at the end to push. In fact, Bluecoats may not either. All of the BD fans are already chanting #14. Go ahead. What will you say when a corps does to them what Phantom did to them in 2008? Phantom was down 2.6 points to BD and in fourth place on July 22, 2008. At quarter finals, they were still down .8 to BD and then we all know what happened in the end. AGAIN....2 points is nothing. For anyone to start handing over the tropy and #14 to BD with three weeks, has to be a BD honk or have no hope left and you will be mad at all of the other corps who have wound up their little mad soldiers and believed that a second chance is just through the glass when they arrive at the metropolis of Indianapolis in August, and they will bust through that glass and take #14 away. So before you count anyone out, please take a look at all of the shows that are in the top six this year. The more formadable competition will come, as mentioned above, from Cavaliers, Cadets and Bloo. Don't look now.......but it is going to happen.
  7. On the facebook feed, the camera guy said he would be changing cables after Pioneer
  8. Wow, guess no one is interested in this show? Is there another thread for this show?
  9. Love the Avatar.....love the game! Weather looks good for tonight. No predictions. Will be interesting to see how BD, Cadets and Cavaliers shape things up tonight. Really pulling for my corps to make a move. We will see.
  10. Yep.....too bad. Rain when you don't want it and none when you do. Mother nature is a #####! Well, tomorrow, minus Troopers, BK and SCV.
  11. Yes....Sly will be in by Minneapolis....confirmed through the corps. This weekend won't be the tell tale to the rest of the season for the Cavaliers. Sly has cleaned some amazing shows in the 2000's for this corps. San Antonio forward will be very interesting.
  12. Uhhh....right......stand corrected. Sorry.....Wishful thinking to have all of them there tonight...mis-read the lineup. Never the less....going to be interesting.
  13. Going to be an interesting evening. Not going to make any placement predictions, as it will be futile. I will predict, and should be expected, some movement between BD, CC, Cadets, Cavaliers and BC. I've seen everyone's show except for BD, so will not make a blind comment about them. They may win, they may not. Too many variables going on and the four corps after them could take over at any moment. After the Hutchinson and Fairfield shows, BC seems to be very strong at this point in the season and could give BD a serious chase tonight. I understand that the scores were at two different competitions, but.... They have a great package this year. Not like the peaking moments in the past. Cavaliers have the total package as well and will have Sly back in, but not until Minneapolis. Their show will clean up even more once he is back in. However, as of late, they have been making huge strides after such a rough start. Cavaliers are the Dark Horse this year, and knowing their history, could do a 95 or 04 on everyone. CC can do well if their percussion scores don't continue to struggle, but don't see them winning, and the Cadets show is a pretty cool show. I've seen it about 9 times. Love Overture to a school for scandal. They will compete tonight, but hard to guess where they will land. We will just have to wait and see after it's over. Kudos to all of these kids for their hard work this summer. Really enjoy the shows and look foward to seeing BD.
  14. May see you in Atlanta.....at least during rehearsal day. May not make the show. Will see.
  15. OK, just found out that he will be in by Minneapolis. Yes....LOL "pray for death" This is heaven sent. Things will clean up. Feet have been a mess the past two weeks. The show will make certain strides in the coming weeks and feel that the corps will suprise a lot of people. At the Oswego show, John Bell got so excited at one point in the show that he actually dropped his recorder. It was during the rifle bit. He barely got the tape back in by the time the corps began to play the jam out. Too funny. How long are you on for?
  16. I heard "Mad" Rumors about that. I didn't see him on the flying in list on Sunday. What happened at SCV, or was he not doing SCV this year?
  17. Is Bart in? Just left the corps about four days ago. Whole slew of people coming in on the fourth. I left mid-day on the fourth.
  18. More Staff are in. At one point (about a week), their were only three visual techs on the field. This was during a string of shows with Carolina and Cadets in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
  19. You know, the last time that the Cavaliers saw Blucoats, it was only a 1.4 margin. Who's to say that the Cavaliers won't upset someone tonight? Just sayin'
  20. "Blue Devils and Cavaliers--who are known for their more relaxed attitude." I have seen the Cavaliers first hand as they march their three fourth of July parades for the last six years. In no way do they exhibit the behavior that CC did. They don't even come close. The guard dresses in the Cavalier Uniform and each carries the Cavalier flag. The guard has a routine that is used for the parade as well....albeit it is a simple routine. At the front of the corps are the colors and they are guarded. The corps plays traditional march music. All of the performers stay in step, rank and file. There is no horseplay. This is not about a "silly parade" as some have put it, or whether or not it is a DCI competition or G7 corps or not. It is about the respect for the community that has paid good money to have said corps march in their parades. Believe it or not, they do care, and if you were to take a poll on the issue, I would bet good money that many of the fans were not appreciative of their attitude. In an earlier post it was stated that...."In An activity desperate to establish its identity outside its base can't succeed by diluting that identity. That's what Crown did in this instance. It sacrificed an opportunity to win over some fans to its true identity, which is pretty good. All our top corps can have fun on the parade route. But if they do, they're only leading the crowd to a different expectation of what drum corps is. Just my opinion.
  21. I stand corrected. After hitting reply, I had to go did I just give the wrong information? Thanks
