I think them slowly turning green is great GE and really supports the theme.

I don't get the shade some folks are throwing on Blue Stars. Musically, especially brass, they are very good. Visual is still dirty, but I don't see how they finish any lower than 11.

I'm thinking Crossmen in 12th... But whoever it is, a couple of really good corps are going to be on the outside looking in on Saturday

That's been me too for at least a decade. But this year, Devils are actually changing some of the things many of us have complained about. They are back to jazz. They are exploring complete musical ideas instead of stringing together 15 second bits of things. They have great full ensemble unison equipment work in the guard. I really like them again this year.

I'm rooting for Bloo or Boston. Bloo because this year's show is my favorite, and Boston because I grew up in New England and have been rooting for them for 40 years. Their alumni and organization are overdue. But honestly, all of the top 4 are worthy, and I wish them all luck.

Boston: Guard, Percussion, Visual Crown: Brass, GE

I think Boston took Crown tonight, but it will be close and if it goes the other way I certainly wouldn't cry foul.

Their brass is fantastic, as usual. I just wish this show gave them more variety of styles and musical colors to show off with. It's kind of like 12 minutes of same.

It goes back at least 34 years. First one I remember seeing was in '89, maybe they did it prior to that?

I can't help it, I have to say it every time I see this show.... WHY DIDN'T YOU LET THE BRASS HAVE A GO AT UP!!! It would have been such an amazing ballad....

I'd say both corps had good runs. Devils guard was spectacular. Their brass and percussion were their usual level of wow. Bloo also had a great visual performance. A lot of the body movement stuff in the brass was the cleanest I've seen it. Percussion to my brass ears sounded clean as hell, but they came in 3rd so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Musically all the polyrhythms and musical quirks really clicked.

People, we have a race to the finish!

Great run. That's the show of the year for me. No doubt it will be the one I listen to the most.
