This is a vast improvement over their first show. I was worried about them, but not any more. My wife marched Crossmen, she'd have been really proud of them tonight.

Tonight was my first viewing for Mandarins. I'd have them solidly in the 5-8 grouping along with Phantom, Cavies and Cadets. Those are some storied names to now be on par with. Well done.

Agree, feels like Phantom and Cadets will be dueling for 5/6 and then a gap before Cavies and Blue Stars duke it out for 7/8. Then again it's still early in July.

Visually very clean run for Crown. The horns sounded like they were trying a little too hard at parts, and their characteristic blend suffered. But overall really well done.

I love Bloo's show for the same reasons I love Frank Zappa music. It's cerebral, it's avant garde, it's technical, it's complex and full of multi-meters and the unexpected. It hooks me and holds me. It's definitely a love-it or hate-it style. I'm square in the love-it camp.

The percussion comes in at a different tempo and meter, and then it meshes. It sounds very disjointed and it's really hard to pull off.
