2000Cadet

Disappointed at their placement at this point given all the hype. It looks like at this point in the season, they are sitting in 9th. Still plenty of season left. But I agree with this post. I'm hoping for a turnaround later on. But right now, I don't see it coming.

Yeah this show is pretty freaking good.

Trust me, I get it. People ripped us apart when we switched to any key instruments in 2000. Some girl in the Coats even came up to me and asked why we were "cheating." So yeah, kids read stuff back then just as much as they probably read the stuff now. I'm not trying to be negative, but I cannot help but feel with how great this show seems to be, that they could have found something better to symbolize the athleticism of Cadets.

...and to look great while doing so. I'm not worried about Cadets show as a whole. From what I saw online, I already have my tickets for the shows that are near me. I just wish they made better decisions with this costume.

That's not the point. Cadets pride themselves on looking good. These are literally gym clothes. They may as well wear what they wear in rehearsals. I get the "athleticism" concept of the show, but these clothes are not symbolic of Cadets' mantra.

THIS is why I fell in love with them. Your sarcasm notwithstanding, I think they could have found a better look than this. Regardless, I think this show is going to be killer. Looking forward to seeing it in person.

I'm not going to pretend I like this "uniform," because I absolutely do not. However, I just heard a clip from the opener of their show tonight, and I'm IN LOVE with it!

I thoroughly enjoyed his being a tech at Cadets when I marched. He wasn't my tech as I played trumpet. But he loved talking to me about my having perfect pitch. He was a really great person and it's sad that someone so young has left this planet too soon. My heart goes out to his family.

I put on my earbuds to listen to that. It's gonna be fantastic!

No. I was a trumpet player, but I would hear April screaming at the guard during our sectionals and during ensemble. .

They were BEASTS! I saw them at finals. Not trying to toot my own horn, but yeah, I'm tooting my own horn.
