Crown's hornline is very commited to detils like notes, rhythms ,dynamics, articulation, INTONAION and, STYLE,. Crown's hornline plays VERY EXPOSED parts unlike hornlines like Cavilers, Phantom Regiment,Bluecoats all don't go the the level of Carolina Crown :
(I.E 2005 "ANGEL") having trumpets spread out that far, ioslated attacks, and just the proudcton in general
(I.E 2006 2nd production 3:33- 3:52) I don't see Cadets doing stuff like that
if you want a articulation teaser lissen to (6:14-6:42) of In.trance.it something I don't see Phantom playing
or :50-:55 of Angulus when have Cavailers had 60+ horns play like that?
those details
it's easy to say crown plays/has an easy book but the demand to pull it off is crazy and they are by far the only hornline (since Star on Indiana) to play to such a level of clarity.
LL the 2007 season has yet to start but "LET'S NOT GET THE HORSE BEFORE THE CART" ON CAROLINA CROWN I'm sure the show will yet define another level of hornline performace witch is severly underestimated
