After what I saw this weekend in So Brunswick, SO is going to be a class to watch! And it is going to be an absolute fight for those top 15, and then among them a battle for the top 5. I think all of the groups I saw in SO finals at NJ could be potential finalists - definitely South Brunswick, Gates, Mechanicsburg will all be in... and then other fighters will be Wakefiled, King Philip, Greater Johnstown...

TOo Bad Lawrence Central wont be at Dayton. Love them. Is Tarpon going??? I thought they weren;t.

Is this actually true??? I see their B guard has no score...That is very unfortunate if it is in fact true.

I know most of last years SA finalists were moved to open, glad to see many of them doing well...for those that are still in A ( I think everyone from 9th down is still in A class?), how are they doing this year? I think in SA one of the big problems is some of the smaller schools, that don't have other guards or "feeder" programs that contribute to the growth of the program over all. I think that's one of the reasons that there are so many in that class....some of the guards are VERY young and without feeder programs, it is hard to get a strong large group of kids.

i agree about the SA finals. that was crazy. guards dropping 7-10 points in a matter of hours. there were guards that had 90 or above in semis that didnt make finals, and yet there were guards scoring in the low 80s at finals. thats just annoying. the judges are obviously "leaving room" for the better guards, but come on!

in SA i think there were some surprises, as i said before, the class was very competitive this year. some guards scored in the 90's in semis but didn't make finals. some that made it weren't even ranked in the top 15...just goes to show ya, you never know til you are there! i enjoyed watching SA finals, my favorites were taravella, west orange (should have medaled imho), cooper city, and naples. in SO i loved carmel, warren, and chino. SO was another very competitive class with great performances by all.

In IW - pride & sac will be on top, most likely in that order...love them both! SW - avon & james logan. SO - warren. love the show. SA - not sure...there is a lot of talent in this class! very competitive among the top 20 - will be interesting to see who makes it and who comes out on top.

any one have reviews of the guards that made it there & their performances? i know a lot of groups pulled out, but i see NY was well represented!

It really is unfortunate, both circuits have very talented members, and there would be much more competition at shows if there were just 1 circuit. The northeast shows are usually smaller due to the large concentration of guards in the Syracuse area...and its hard for Rochester area guards to travel so far just to see competition. The NECGC does have the advantage of having the great venue for championships.

just watched the Avon clip from the Midwest Power Regional...AMAZING! just in that 1 min clip I was captivated. the opening movement was dramatic and innovative...I absolutely loved it.
