  1. Did you know the tubas were about 12-15 cents sharp on that last note? So TECHNICALLY they could have been even louder. Cool fact that Ian, our tuba tech, told us in 06. For me 93-finals (with no umbrella, ella, ella, ella, a, a,a) 95 and 96 finals-great madison shows and just great years in drum corps over all
  2. See also drill writer. I forget his name, but i'd rather not say it i guess. ALSO, IF YOU WANT TO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Right now, if you are into magazines and what not, Go to madison's website, and at the bottom, they have a magazine subscribing fundraiser thing-a-ma-bob that gives us(madison) a good percentage. About $7.50 per subscription if i remember correctly. DO IT. DO IT NOW. I subscribed to two magazines. YOU SHOULD TOO!
  3. Oh okay. Start all over again with and entirely new staff and new board of directors. Because ya know, they didn't JUST do that this year.
  4. I remember I came home, my mom would get so angry with me, because she would ask me what I would want for lunch, or what type of bed sheets I needed to get for my dorm, etc. and I would tell her "I don't know!" I had spent my whole summer being told what to do, and she didn't understand that at all. Needlesss to say she finally figured it out and I got back into my groove.
  5. Indeed. On a side note, how might one get ahold of the Souvie Program from this year if one did not attend a regional?
  6. So then what were they doing in Opinion? :P haha, oh man. I crack myself up
  7. There was a tug at my heart today, after I got off work. And it wasn't because of the the $3.00 tip i got left on a $40.00+ tab(servers and waiters(waitresses) know the feeling. It's sad to know that come September they won't be featured on ESPN2, but it makes me so proud to know what my brothers have done this summer. The struggle and the fight to climb where they are, not only in placements, but in the hearts and minds of fans, alumni, and critics across the nation. I said it before and I will say it again, I am jealous to not have been able to march this show. So jealous in fact, that anyone else that will be there, will see me standing side by side, auditioning for my spot in the Madison Scout Hornline here in Texas. To all my brothers out there, I'll see you in November and later on, preparing our show for 2008. To the fans, can't wait to here you start screaming in June. To all the critics, I'll see you....well, lets just hope for your sake we never meet. (I promise you, they raise us country boys just like they use to):P MYNWA, Travis K 2006- Contra
  8. Very true on BD, now if only I could grow the facial hair that some of those guys have...I'd be GOLDEN!
  9. Why? Why do you HAVE to act that way? Your name says your a mom, yet reading something like that, you act like a child. Rude and a total lack of class. Thank you for doing what you can to bring down the morale of this thread, but it won't happen. I said this before, and I'll say it again. I am very jealous I am not marching this show with my brothers. It's an amazing show, with amazing men, amazing staff, who always has a crowd to give an amazing response. f*** the bulls*** boys. It's time to throw down. MYNWA, Travis 2006- Contra
  10. The first two responses were Adam and Ed. Adam actually read it. OF COURSE THEY ARE SEX SYMBOLS, THEY BOTH MARCHED MADISON!!!! I'm pretty sure that when it comes to sex symbols, alot of my brothers will come in here and back me up saying we old it pretty high in that area too. I know I personally have 4 or 5 stories just from my rookie year last year alone.
  11. Same here. It's about an 8 hour drive from Dallas to Lubbock
  12. I dont know how many of the Madison guys are gonna wear theres. I'm sure they'd love to, but seeing as how our jackets are STILL made out of wool.....jeeze.
  13. If I am thinking correctly, I'm pretty sure those three only help in the winter. I think the Brass Caption Head is Ed Perry? Any other information on him along with some of the touring Madison staff?
  14. They thought they were, but everyone else had different opinions :P Anyone have info on Madison's Brass Staff? I never really got a chance to meet with them when they were here in Texas.
  15. hahahaha...it's funny cuz it's true You know what a trumpet player says when he meets another trumpet player? "Hi, nice to meet ya. I'm better than you."
  16. Horn angle at 2:48 FTW!!!!! Haha, but in all seriousness that was pretty cool. Good job BK trumpet section, even if you are cocky enough to think you don't need the rest of the corps! =P
  17. Those kids have gotta be careful, it's a dog eat dog world out there. Too much? Too soon?
  18. Because no other corps this ENTIRE summer has gone down in score. nope. not once. just madison. they're done for. might as well fold right now, i mean really, they went down over a point. time to pack the bags and quit trying.
  19. Incorrect. The hole has been filled. The kid that filled it is a dang good marcher and learner too. Learned everything but the last half of the closer in 3 days. But yeah, they have a full 72 man hornline now
