  1. explain the new Skyliner logo though is it like Uncle Sam "we want you in the NY Skyliners" or is it like "you, you dont even know what loud is!" or "you're dead meat!"
  2. correct me if I am wrong back in the day the Rebels did a little fanfare of "Dixie" OTL and called it The Dixie Stinger, a stinger is a musical riff added in for effect, usually at the end of a tune or phrase, in the case it was at the beginning, it was very smart to later name the annual show after this catchy phrase hope we can live up to being the guardians of drum corps
  3. beautiful! “Murder in Manhattan” is 100% pure New York Skyliners, and unique from any other DCA or DCI corps show. It contains music that has made the Skyliners legacy come to life over the last 60 years – such as Elks Parade, Harlem Nocturne, Little Old New York and other selections - without being a simple re-hash of the past. The 2007 New York Skyliners’ show will bring back the relentless and in-your-face performance style that the New York Skyliners have been known for since before the dawn of DCA competition! We are looking for performers – percussionists, brass players, front ensemble performers, and color guard - who love to entertain and bring the audience to their feet! that sounds about right to me, looking forward to it

  7. Celebrate after the Dixie Stinger! make sure to attend the party after the Dixie Stinger at the Charles Evering VFW Post 6506 (15 min's from the show) I have volunteered to provide music for the party (DJ) which was accepted by Phil Gentile of the Yankee Rebels. There will be dancing and also there will be some excerpts from the 50s, 60s, 70s Yankee Rebels, Archer-Epler, Blessed Sac & Reilly along with the original versions of some corps songs particularly paying homage to our hosts: The Baltimore Yankee Rebels. Get there in time to hear Chicago - Mongonucleosis ;) spread the word especially to the YR vets Walt (the corps friendly Disc Jockey) PS also make sure you plan to be at Reilly's Elks party in Wildwood June 2nd - trust me on this one, more later...
