  1. Congratulations Shane and Gina, best wishes. Can't wait to see the baby Judge
  2. Congratulations and a big thank you to Angel and the crew for "loving the corps back to life". I for one am very proud of the corps for making it back out on the the 4th, and starting the long road back. It will be a difficult journey, and the corps will need the assistance of all Skyliners to keep the dream alive. Even though I am now with the Statesmen, I will do everything that I can to assist. If facilities are needed, I can help get some great rehearsal sites here in Pa. (Only an hour and a half from New York, we are now a commuter community) There is a wealth of talent and knowledge that are alumni of Sky, and I hope that everyone will step up to help get the corps back on it's feet. It's not about the Past, it's about the Future. BE APART OF IT!!!!! Judge
  3. I wish I could be there for this great show. This is the only weekend I have to miss this year, I'm on Emergency duty till 6/27. Have a great show guys, I'd say break a leg, but we don't want to loose anyone. See you at rehearsal on 6/28. Judge
  4. As a lifetime member, former director, and having marched 20 plus years consecutive with the Skyliners, I will tell you that this is a great place to be. In 1993, Skyliners put on a benefit performance for our former drum major, Richard "Butch" Anderson, in Colonie , N.Y. Without hesitation, Vince Bruni kept the Statesmen over to perform at this benefit to help out a truly great guy. Then and there I said if I ever march any place other than Sky, it would be Empire. This is my second year with the Statesmen, they truly are a great bunch of people to march with. This show is fantastic, the drill is awesome, the staff is outstanding. So, if you have the urge to march, grab one of these spots quick, you will be happy that you did. Thomas R. Shiffer, Jr. ( Judge)
  5. Having viewed Fusion at there rehearsal this past weekend I will predict that they will be a serious contender for the Class A title. They have a much larger percussion section, brass line is in fine shape, and there guard is working with the corps already. They are running there rehearsals similar to Bush, which is understandable with the fine staff they have brought in. I must note that I have seen no other Class A corps this year, and probably will not see any until championships. It looks like most of the Class A competition will be from the South, Mid West, and West, Fusion will be competiting against the open class corps all summer, may help, may hurt, who knows? One thing that would help Fusion is to get Holly out in the basic block. lol Judge
  6. My condolences to the Haas family, there mom was a great person to know and she will be greatly missed. This is a truly great drum corps family, and a great family to know. My prayers are with you all at this time. Judge
  7. When I heard the news of this great loss, I was and still am in shock. My prayers go out to the Richardson family, and I know that Konga will be joining George, Hy, Lefty, Winky, Butch, in that greatest of all drumcorps. Heaven is getting a great person. RIP my brother. Judge
  8. Jeff, I just got my computer hooked back up, so a belated happy birthday. You are one awesome player. Hope we do another year together at Statesmen. Judge
