  1. I wouldn't say its too predictable... I'd be more inclined to say that the top 3 or top 5 just have a super consistant design team and always get talents kids that can perform these crazy shows.
  2. That must have been painful! But then again, the adrenaline from finals night probably made the pain seem non-existent.
  3. SCV: From the vanguard yell on. and the cadets trumpet solo in blue shades is constantly running through my head.
  4. Spin Cycle. How exactly did this get beat by blue devils? (if i could've voted for 2, my 2nd choice would've been cadets 07)
  5. Overrated: Phantom Regiment (yes, i said it) Underrated: SCV (should've been above phantom). Troopers. (and for the simple fact i think they should have won) - cadets.
  6. Same here. And If they seem interested, I jump on youtube and show them a few shows.
  7. Its HS biology all over again! I'd say: SCV - the entire show! Cadets - FLYING company front in closer BD - the spiral thing/whatever its called.
  8. Its crazy that a band like DT(or opeth) can have ONE song that would work out into the corps show. Where as some bands, you have to use like...5 or 6 songs to get an 11:30 minute show. Gotta love progressive metal! \m/
  9. In and out is by far the best fast food burger i've ever had!
  10. HOLY ####! SCV playing Dream Theater would be amazing! Not sure if any of the brass players could manage a petrucci-based solo though...lol
  11. Whoa! Theres a clip from the Lincoln, NE show on there! That automatically makes you posting this link cool!
  12. I'm Alex...I'm trying out for the Troopers on baritone.
  13. LMFAO! Three Amigos is an awesome movie!
  14. Well yeah..I guess I should have said to start working on the actual audition materials...I already practice at least once a day.
  15. Oh, I totally agree about 2006 blue devils! The famous one-liner from the godfather was PERFECT! I haven't seen all of the 2005 blue devils show, just snippets here and there of it. I haven't seen Pacific Crest's show this year(I got into the semi's webcast after they were done)..so I can't really say about that.
  16. I am! I'm just waiting until the troopers 2008 audition material is released, then I can begin practicing my @ss off!
  17. (IMO) I actually thought the cadets narration tied the show together. You would've have exactly understood the total concept/theme of the show. Without the narration, many people would have left the show wondering "Okay...but what exactly do they believe in?". And we all know the the Bluecoats use of voice was awesome, so I don't need to reiterate that anymore. I really couldn't stand crowns narration though...just seemed to forced...like they were trying to go along with a trend(which I'm they we not doing that). But if you liked crowns narration, thats cool too. But i didn't. Now...saying that. If everyone had narration in their shows, I probably wouldn't be to fond of it, because some shows just work amazingly well without it. Yet some work well with it. And I'll take narration in drum corps over woodwinds in drum corps any day. (/IMO)
