  1. If Michigan is not to far There is Lakeshormen, we are Class A competitive corps.
  2. oops...I missed that memo
  3. I was giving my honest opinion!
  4. I dont see why its so "cool" to play high. As a trumpet player and a musician its your responsibility to play musically.....thats not musical IMO. You should only do it if you actually have tone in that register and its a "FAT" sound, oh and IN tune! It drives me crazy when people have that thin tone when they try to play super high and they cram the mouth piece into their lips. Go down to a comfortable octave and sound good there for heaven sakes!.....if possible. When people make videos like that it just reminds me of high school and how all the trumpets would try to play the highest.....its not cool at all. Its not worth it to sacrifice tone to play high. But this is my own honest opinion.
  5. I heard some of corps with them last year. I cant stand the sound of the horns. But that is only my opinion.
  6. troop in 2007 abandoned that technique and switched to straight leg because Matt Hainse was visual caption head in 07 he was from 06 capital Regiment staff. Then in 2008 Nick Benson came on board. Originally he was from Seattle Cascades staff and he marched BD. So that might help you :)
  7. your in pleae when your straight leg jazz running, that is cushion for your knees, and your upper body stays lifted.
  8. Does anyone have the 2003,2004,and 2005 DCI championships cds? If you want to sell them to me email me at woojos@Hotmail.com or post on here.
  9. I'm scared for Phantom because they are switching to Jupiter! Why would they change after winning when playing on King? Is it about money? Do they get free horns? What good is it going to do them if the horns fall apart in their hands? I just don't understand.....
  10. Hello all! I was wondering if anyone has a Xeno Yamaha trumpet anyone plans on selling. But I want the model with the thumb saddle not the thumb ring. Does anyone know that model number? My email is woojos@hotmail.com Thank you!
  11. I would want to help out a struggling dca/dci corps that are in financial trouble. I rather keep the same corps around for a long time, instead of new corps popping up and folding after 2 or 3 years of being around.
  12. Is it financially smart for corps to be doing this? This means you have to add even more spots on the equipment trailers for pianos, and guitars if a corps is daring enough? You also have to take into consideration the number of tubas most corps have also and they are adding even more. That takes up even more space. But I don't mind more tuba don't get me wrong. Tour fees are already astronomically high. Its not fair to college students that want to march junior corps to be asking them to pay $1,800-$3,000 or whatever the highest is. Not to mention travel to winter camps witch is just as costly, if not even more. IMO Sooner or later no one is going to be able to afford this activity if DCI adds more instrumentation.
  13. That is great news!! I am glad you guys are back!! yah!!!
