Cadet members were reading social media tonight (not DCP) got there feelings hurt about what they read and preceded to post responses and disparage supporters of the corps.

Instead of getting their panties in a wad over what amounted to nothing on social media, perhaps the members would be better off practicing this evening.

They haven't done WSS yet this decade. (Ducks and runs out of the room)

The souvie teams will also be wearing ribbons in honor of Gary. (I'd post the photo but it is on a friend's Facebook page.)

Having been to both theaters mentioned above, I agree!

Despite the fact I have many closer theaters (bad sound at one and bad students at another), I am driving 2 hours to Orlando to watch it at AMC at Disney Springs.

I miss many good posters that now avoid or only lurk usually like myself. One coming to mind is Irving Fan of The Arts, granted I know where to go for info from him. I miss full retreat as mentioned earlier. I miss being able to watch live on PBS. I miss watching kiddos I personally know perform in various corps. I miss the "fun" of being on the road volunteering for a corps.

Not sure I have all the answers, but I do know when I asked why the board doesn't push for his removal or for major changes, I got the following answer....He picks who is on the board and if someone challenges him then they are kicked off the board and replaced. The checks and balances system is way off and if not fixed soon many believe it will destroy the corps.

Next year Cadets need a 2003 favorite things type show....maroon and gold traditional uniform and do about 3 classic charts start to finish...go old school and fans would eat it up. If you could choose 3 or 4 songs to play, what songs would you choose?

Blue Devils were the ones that were smart enough to get him. True leaders develop their replacements. Hop makes it so the best people to walk in the door from staff to admin to volunteers want to leave and not come back. Heck, you don't even see the ageouts come back to volunteer on tour.

Post from Hop on Facebook: Quick Post ... Pandemonium and Peace Last night at 2:20 am, inside the motor coach, Marc Sylvester woke 5 of us with a scream. " Hello ..... WAKE up " I leaped up. I could not see. There was smoke everywhere It turned out that Colin had tossed his gear up on top of the stove and somehow the pressure had clicked on the stovetop. His one bag was in full flame and the other was melting and smoldering Quickly, the fire was out, the windows open, and we were out the door. About an hour later we had cleaned up, made sure the power to the stove was off ( we never use it) and we were back asleep. But if Marc had not come into the bus at that point ... It's not lost on me what could have happened. I think all involved ere still a little jittery this AM. This morning, after dreams about the corps and the corps and money needs and the corps and the corps and money needs ... I went for a shower. It was quiet. No one was there except for one young man. And as he prepared for the day, he was playing the peaceful strains of a symphonic composition. The peace and tranquility was mesmerizing. I have done nothing but work and sleep for weeks. In many ways, this has been the most difficult summer of the many I have experienced. Or perhaps it just feels like that inside the middle of it? Anyway as the hot water streamed down ( YES ... HOT) .. I just listened. And I could feel my entire person slow and settle. It was wonderful. As I dressed and reached into my bag for a comb .... i came to a new and totally different realization. My shampoo had exploded and every toiletry I owed was covered in goo And that ... was the moment of tranquility Rest assured I smiled, cleaned up and headed for the bus. Grateful, to be alive. And thrilled to be where I am. GO Cadets!!!!!
