  1. That ,of course ,is assuming they can even remotely believe there ARE Div II/III Fans. With only 400 people showing up for prelims. Remember THEY don't believe WE exist
  2. YOU ARE RIGHT !!! Once people see this group the decibel meter will probably break a needle off
  3. perhaps if it had been on the west coast half a dozen times in the past.... The state and it's school systems would 've been more cooperative. But that's water under the bridge. Personally I'd rather travel anywhere else in the country, but then I live here and can't wait ,sometimes , to leave. Maybe when my kids are older.
  4. sadly for whatever reason ,it is hard to promise money to corps for performing when your average DivII/III show barely makes money. I remember hearing three years ago that Div II/III had lost tens of thousands of dollars for the previous year. I'd like to see corps get "paid" too, But first I'd like to see some investment in promoting these Corps and the competitions so the money would be there.
  5. this is like, the 5th review ,where Cadets got slammed for the same POOR sound quality of their narraion AND for the excessive and POOR usage. HEY GEORGE NEXT TIME SAY IT WITH SAX'S maybe that 'll work 4 ya'. Seriously tho' they've read the reviews too, and the judges can't be far off with THEIR" appreciation" of the narrative. So ,what reason could Cadets and their staff have for leaving it the way it is and not trying to fix it. PERHAPS it's just their way of saying This is what WE want in the activity. The rest of you , the paying fans ,tough luck. AND YET the old adage that I grew up with is being exemplified right in front of them and they don't hear. IF YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT YOU DID IT WRONG.
  6. It's not surprising today that the media would get something wrong. And I do disagree when drum and bugle corps only attracts 5,000 members a year ,I think accuracy DOES matter. But at the same time she is in Lawrence Kansas right? chances are as David Letterman oft says "Nobody's watchin' anyway.
  7. guys remember after all, where she found a job, and that equal opportunity means many things. Apparently in Kansas it means you don't have to know anything about which ,you speak
  8. I'm afraid ,on one hand you are correct, yet on the other hand it is my experience that DCI owes it to the paying members of the activity AND it's audience to listen. I've heard this judges name before in regards to other groups and yet ..... DCI aloso owes it to the paying members and fans to make sure that ANY misuse of the judging system not be tolerated. Whether in a particular corps favor or not is NOT the issue. What is at issue here is an HONEST assesment of the different corps performance AND the proper assigning of a number. BY THE WAY anyone who REALLY believes that a corps of 135 members being judged visually and musically on everystep and every note they play can achieve scores of 92 plus is deluded. Think about it statistically it can not happen. 135 people at an average of 160 beats/minute x 11 minutes x visual and music/equip 475,200 potential errors and yet we are made to believe we as an activity have found a way to eliminate all but 20 to 80 of them PLEASE,will somebody wake us up it's time for the next show.
  9. You've got alot to say about organizations of which you know nothing!! way to go
