Well, isn't this an interesting thread? Who would have thought that a head covering could generate this much excitement, disgust, angst, anger, ........... can anyone think of any other adjectives? I can but I'd probably get edited. The Blue Stars are still the Blue Stars; their history hasn't changed one iota with the addition of the new shako. No one is going to have any trouble recognizing them when they see them on the field and to suggest otherwise says to me that maybe you don't really bleed blue at all!!! What's really disappointing is the reaction of some alumni who act as if the corps has sold itself to Satan!

I love the Fan Network! Best $69 I've ever spent. I even gave it to my son in Albuquerque for Father's Day so he could watch his "little" brother, since Blue Stars were nowhere near ABQ this year. Wish they had done this 3 years ago, when my son first started marching. It has helped me feel more in touch with the corps this season!!!

Yeah it sure does! The stupid mattress was less than 2 months old and still under warranty!!!! I could've gotten my money back!!! Good thing it wasn't a real expensive one!! His excuse was that he didn't have room to carry 2 mattresses around - which I suppose is true!

I just got off the phone from one of those calls! He just needs a little bit of money to get him through the rest of the season. His mattress blew a hole so he had to buy a new one - and he threw the other one away!!!! It was brand new!!!! And he threw it away!!!! He told me he's marching drum corps and his judgment is a little off!!!

Hope it's just remnants! We had storms in Iowa/Illinois on Monday with 90-100 mph winds. They were categorized as straightline winds. 147,000 people were without power on Monday and as of today 40,000 STILL don't have it, most of those on the Illinois side of the river. Thank goodness it was about 20 miles south of where we live!!!

With all due respect, I don't see how you can think that NOT broadcasting finals is more of a big deal than the success of the Blue Stars, a founding corps member, in 2008 and the possibility of their performing at finals for the first time in 28 years. But as you can see from my signature, I may be a tad biased!

Being in the telecom business and having learned alot about high speed internet/DSL over the past 3 years, I've learned that often when people think that their internet isn't working properly, it may have more to do with their computer. So many people don't go in and clean out their cache, cookies, browsing history and that stuff really clogs up your computer and makes it run much more slowly. (This may not be the issue for you but it certainly could be for some people.)

I think the on-demand videos are only available from the high camera angle view.
