  1. Dude, I am light. It was a t-shirt we midwesterners had in response to you in the early 90s. ;)
  2. "frankly my dear, i don't give a #### how they do it in california."
  3. well, there is a viagra commercial on. does this help?
  4. ooooohhhh no. i will enjoy my drum corps vicariously through other peoples', thank you, no need to procreate. but practicing it is ok!!!!!
  5. Sure it is. The whole activity is more demanding now. Look what was being asked of the performers and designers in 1986, and look at now. There are fewer corps, but more contenders for the title. Look at how hard it is to break into top 4 and what has to be accomplished to get there, and tell me that's not prestigious.
  6. I can attest to this. I went to San Antonio and Denton and saw lots of folks from lots of corps. When I came home, I had what my doctor has termed "a virus." I was flat on my back for 3 days and I'm just getting up to speed almost two weeks later. If I got what they have, it is for real.
  7. Kind of like I skipped some. 92 to 99 is burned in. after that it gets fuzzy.
  8. *sigh* apparently not. I know it's still on, that's all.
  9. I think a perfectly straight line that spans yards upon yards is about as difficult to pull off as one can get, considering how a lot of them are transitioned into. And really? Maybe you're seeing something that's not there. Some corps don't have a single company front this year. Are you generalizing all for what you've seen in about 3 corps?
  10. I was going to go tonight, but I can't justify 6 hours of driving and $50 in gas for being in Centerville for a total of 1.5 hours (the focus of which is one 11 minute performance), only four hours to sleep after the drive back before work, and an exam on friday. Especially the way the radar looks. But I seriously, seriously thought about it anyway. What is it about us? We are totally insane or completely stupid.
