Privacy in Corps? Or lack thereof?
Notorious T-U-B-A replied to JF154283's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
My best advice would just try not to be awkward although your first time showering with strangers is going to be. If you walk in the shower, do your business, and maybe chit chat a little without pulling a peeping tom with other members, your shower time will be quite enjoyable. Or if you just choose to wash yourself and get out no questions asked that works too. Just don't be like "Oh man, naked people." because...well...it's drum corps. You'll pretty much be naked at rehearsal. -

The thing I notice about new balance is that they fit your feet comfortable... They're very durable, and especially with the gel soles they cushion your feet. -

Questions You've Always Wanted to Ask...
Notorious T-U-B-A replied to Matt_S's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Never thought of it like that... I figured it was more so for ambience. Sorta letting other corps know "Hey we're here" or something like that... Incense is quite relaxing...must be nice to have especially those show warm ups where the weather is icky or tempature is hot. -

/agree although... where you may sacrifice the color of your fecies, purple + red drink = marvelous. -
Sarcasm comes from the latin word Sacra, which means to cut.

Why do some corps light incense on the way to or in warm up and or on the way to the gate? -

Dude me too, When ever my horn gets heavy I just let it rest on my chest, and of course let my feet phase as long as I'm near the back hash and not near the 50.

Indeed, as we are more overly concerned with playing our "Concert F around the rooms" in tune.

People that don't know what they're talking about when it comes to Drum Corps... Example, While my band directors were at TMEA we watched 2005 Drum Corps videos in my band class Student Who Knows Nothing (SWKN): Wow, The CADETS SUCK! Me: They won...every caption that year... SWKN: OH I guess you're right. SWKN: Woah! Look at the Blue Devils! Me: Those are the Blue Coats... SWKN: Oh - Right! I thought the Blue Devils had white pants. SWKN: Cavaliers won this year! Me: No they didn't...Cadets did... I think you get the point.

Crossmen - February Camp Report

It's kind of hard to let your water jug air out overnight, as bugs and other critters can find their way into your container. Also, there are plenty of water hoses availible to the corps so that we may wash and refill our coolers. Sorry that your son got sick, but if he didn't wash his cooler for 3 weeks, I don't see as to how it was the corps fault. -
" 1 -- perfection is not possible; " I was too lazy to take the time and quote the person that originally posted this. But I'm sure many will agree with me and say, No Duh. But in Drum Corps, sadly you don't settle for being good. You settle for being perfect. You know you can't attain it - but you do everything within your power to try to attain it. Just my 2 cents Back to the original topic.
