Very true, I have a friend that went to BD in '07 chasing a ring. He didn't really like it there so he quit pretty early in the season. It just wasn't for him, he still shows support for the corps and respects what they do, he'll just never march there. It's always a good thing to be happy where you are, and as long as you don't bad mouth anyone, there's no reason to feel bad.

So I was supposed to move in today but instead I have to quit. Has this ever happened to anyone here? Does this happen to corps every season?

Dang I had a pretty good experience with the Countdown and have for the last few years, big crowd, loud volume ect... The only thing was this I had had to drive like 40 mins because the theater near me was charging 22 bucks All the theaters should have a uniformly LOW price, i'll definitely go next year.

My corps ate too well to lose any weight though I did lose 20 while training for tour. Haven't gained a pound since.

The way I see it, if dci wanted to add woodwinds, they would have to add a woodwind judge, and therefore, every corps would need to have a woodwind line. But because not every corps would be open to this change, it could only work by making another class to dci with it's own new set of rules. Though I cannot see any of the upper world class or any world class for that matter moving to said woodwind class because they would totally dominate it and there would probably be rules in place to prevent that. So if a woodwind class was started, it would only house new corps, and maybe a few open class corps. But this is all a big "if". I don't think it will ever happen simply because a woodwind is not a "bugle". It's possible that a marching band circuit would start up that is associated with dci, but it would lose the best brass players to D&BC, and would probably only be used by people to train for D&BC. That's my 2 cents.
