I didn't say anything about making a mistake. I am talking about an inconsistancy of interpretation of the judging sheets. It happened and it got fixed. As for corps that got consistant scores all along, that's nearly an irrelevent point. Anyone who takes a multiple choice test (answers of A, B, C or D) can score a 25% on it by just guessing. Now, let me say this... I am NOT saying that these judges knew nothing. They are eventually going to get something consistant. I am only saying that a 10 point drop is not something that should be overlooked. Even if the Spartans did not deserve the 90.35 that they got previously to prelims, that's a massive jump.

You should do a little bit better research... you've missed a huge flaw. The Div 2/3 scores in 2000 were inconsistant at best. Spartans, for example, scored a 90.35 two days before they performed in prelims and scored a 80.75. Look into it, friend. You'll see that there were other corps with inconsistant scores. Thankfully, not from my research but just my own observations, it doesn't seem that the judging has been as inconsistant as that. Rock on, Judges!

Alright, what has this thread become? It's just a lot of people accusing people of taking "low shots". We'll keep on passing the blame around when really, most people are here for the same reason: gossip. That's what all these spartan threads have become. I'll be the first to admitt that I am no better than everyone else who posts. I am here to read the gossip. I don't need to make any excuses. I hate to see bad publicity just as much as I hate to see a car wreck, but it doesn't mean I'm not gonna take a look when I pass by the next car wreck I see. And trust me, if someone needed MY help, I'd help in any way that is safe for me. But back to what this really is, again, I'm here for gossip, like everyone else is.. regardless of your concern. But if a witch hunt is what everyone wants, then let's have at it!! Let's start accusing people of taking "low shots". I'll make the first offical accusation: RICHARD, my friend... I hate to say this, but... BURN, WITCH!!! BURN!!!!!! *I appologize for any sarcasm that may have caused some people to ponder what the heck I am talking about. This was just too fun to write.

So I have thought about this for a while but let's see what everyone thinks. Are there or have there been any curses in drum corps? Baseball has a ton of of them, and of course, football has the Madden video game curse. So let's hear your best, worst and most creative curses or superstitions that may or may not be true!

Amazing. Everyone claims to be experts on this topic, but when we have actual Open Class directors stating their opinions or facts, we go ahead and tell them that THEY are wrong! I'm going to go ahead and say they have a better idea what they're talking about over someone who's been to a few meetings. And DCI doesn't care about Open Class? It still exists and has changes each year in the hopes to makie it better, right? Just because they aren't spoken of as much as the World Class corps doesn't mean DCI does not care. Let's put it into this perspective... A parents is on the school board in his or her town, but in most meetings, the parent does not bring up his/her child or even his/her child's school. Does this parent not care about his/her child? Maybe it's not the best example, but it works for me. So to anyone who thinks DCI doesn't care about Open Class, I offer you these kind words quoted from Tom Brace quoting Dan Acheson, "Just let it go."

Judging from your posting name, I assume you marched in '07... or at least intended to march. That would make you the most open-minded person to make judgement on this topic, right? Maybe in a few years you will realize what you are really saying. Your opinion on this topic is your own and it should be probably be left at that. You can make whatever predictions you would like to about their upcoming year, but what happens if you are wrong? Will you be held accountable for the potential libal you had said? Of course not. You will just go on with your posting of ignorant statements because you feel that you have been wronged according to second hand stories you have heard. So do us a favor and just keep it to yourself and let the corps prove it on the field. I doubt you'll listen, but at least this was fun to type.
