Does DCI ever ask a judge to explain a score he has given? There can be differences in opinion, especially in captions where there are 2 judges scoring the same caption. What happens when within the same caption judge 1 has a 2 point difference and judge 2 has a .3 difference?

Wow you should be ashamed of yourself. Don't get nasty just because your corps isn't doing as well as you thought they would.

Find it hard to believe Boston could have done that bad for their score to have gone down .1 and PR pull that much ahead. Strange.

When I have seen their guard they have been pretty clean. The rest of the corps.....that is a different story. They do have an entertaining show though!

Have you seen the shows? Boston actually has a very strong guard, don't let the judges score from the past 2 night make you think differently. I am not sure I agree with you on Glassmen having a strong guard, their equipment book isn't too demanding although I find their show entertaining. Blue Stars also seem to have one of the easier equipment books. Both Glassmen and Blue Stars are clean right now. Not sure what has happened to Phantom, I was surprised when I saw them, Phantom has always been a personal favorite. Sometimes it just doesn't click for one reason or another. Once everyone is a lot cleaner scores will start fluctuating more. Overall this is a very entertaining season!

Some advice..... Go to the corps you want to march, not the one you think will medal. This year alone should prove that one never knows! Don't go to a corps only because your friends/boyfriend/girlfriend march there. Even if you don't think you can make a corps, give it a shot. You can talk to many people marching a 'top 6' corp that were cut from a '6-12' corps after the first audition. You never know what any of them are looking for or if your style fits. Corps make cuts every year for unknown reasons that surprise people. Have fun and good luck!

I too do not reply often.... Funny, I didn't think they were overly dirty, maybe I missed something. As for your inside sources in the judging community, I actually would rather not have judges giving foreshadowing critiques. Time will tell, I hope BAC can continue on a path to what seems to be a great season. From what BAC insiders have posted, the kids are having a great time with the show! And after all isn't that what is improtant? I did find them to be one of the better corps last night, and was quite surprised by their GE Visual score. Everybody must remember judging is subjective, and not every judge sees a show the same way.
