I don't really like Phantom's new uniforms either. They don't look very good from far away. The silver just makes them look like a tainted all-white uniform. I don't see why they didn't do deep red accents.

I'm planning on going to Bellbrook High School to watch the Blue Devils rehearse. It should be fun.

What gets me is that whenever there is a significant drop in a corps' score, the judges are automatically wrong, but whenever there is a significant increase, the judges are automatically right. How about we accept the scores the judges give and move on?

That is just the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw the show the first time in Fairfield. I don't seriously think that's what it is about. Anyways, I like Le Tour far better than Factory.

Here's a suggestion: All of you naysayers walk around with one eye shut all day. It's really not that hard. If you start running in to things, you are an idiot. The hardest part is keeping your eye shut.

Blue Devils - 2008. I absolutely loved this show, and thought it should have won. Cavies - 2008. I've always liked Samurai. Mountain climbing is boring. CC - 2008. 2009 is probably technically superior, but this show is far more entertaining. HNC - 2009. Hey, this show doesn't annoy me! SCV - 2008. I really like 2009, but for whatever reason SCV had my 2nd favorite show last year. Bluecoats - 2008. I thought getting away from pop culture would help Bluecoats, but 2009 is not what I meant... PR - 2008. 2009 show is pretty half-#####, which is ironic considering they have half of a violin. BAC - 2009. So far, my favorite show of the year. BS - 2008. Child Labor Laws, the show. No thanks... I liked them last year even though they kicked our butts. BK - 2009. First BK show I've liked in a while. Glassmen - 2009. Although I also marched last year, this show is better, and the corps is better. I've gotten over it. Troopers - 2009. They have the visual package as well this year.

Well, the show just isn't as good as last year, so it would be kind of disappointing to see them win it. But don't worry, they aren't going to win it. I would actually rather see Boston win the championship than Phantom, which also won't happen.

No, not really. Doctors say this kind of thing all the time, even when it is not necessary. It's not as much being overly protective of their patient as it is being overly protective of themselves. I don't blame them. The doctor probably would have said the same thing if all she did was stub her toe.

Who are you to say she endangered someone? If she had one screw up during an 11-minute show, I really doubt she was risking anyone's wellbeing. Believe it or not, losing vision in one eye does not make you incompetent.

From the OP, it is pretty clear that she wasn't endangering anyone, including herself. Making one mistake during a show is hardly a bad run. If she had confidence she could march, and more notably, if the staff had the confidence she could march without inviting a potential catastrophe, I think she should march. So many people are overly concerned with safety these days. Live a little.
